US law enforcement agent Heather Lane can read minds but not the future. The dream of battle and blood that recurs every night must be a fluke, some obscure terror from her own mind. What its significance might be, she can't guess: an attack from seven psychotic vampires at once, only separated from nightmare by an eighth very different immortal. A handsome, brave man fighting at her side, a man she misses when she wakes.

This was kind of predictable story. The narration was good but the constant 3 time repeat of words drove me nuts, (See me, See me, See me. Falling, Falling Falling) just a few examples. I will not go on to the next book.

No woman should be ok with being refer to as Bitches. Very disappointed and I wasn't my credit back. I loved The Rock Chick books but this is not for me.

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

I am still trying to finish it 3 weeks in, and not sure I can. When the narrator talks to her little sister or shows any emotion I cringe. I hate saying that, but it is so bad. I never was drawn into the story and I'm not sure if it was because of the narration or just not interesting. This was the first book by Dannika Dark that I have listen to. I might try again with a different narrator.
