What did you love best about Cinder?

Everything! I know that's not a great answer but seriously I loved this story. I loved the characters, the dialogue, the unique take on the classic Cinderella fairy tale. I can't think of anything that I didn't enjoy about this book. Wait...I just thought of something. I stayed up way too late listening to it. Only two hours of sleep at my age is not a good thing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cinder?

One of the most memorable moments was when Cinder had to refit herself with her old, too small, foot. Ugh...I could feel her pain and felt so bad for her.
The author did an amazing job of reinventing the big elements of Cinderella (the glass slipper, the evil stepmother, etc.). They are memorable and even though the story is futuristic the elements are relatable and easy to imagine.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Soler’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Cinder is the first book that I have listened to that Rebecca Soler has narrated. She did an AMAZING job. I think she nailed all the characters and made the story flow. I immediately purchased book 2, Scarlett.

Any additional comments?

I loved it so much that I actually listened to the audiobook, read the eBook version, and ordered a hardback copy for my bookshelf. Excited to listen, read, and collect the rest of the series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this audiobook...as a matter of fact I already have. The narrator does an excellent job of capturing the characters and the emotion of the story. The author does an amazing job of telling the story of a world in which children must take on the roles of the adults in order to survive.

What about Deanna Moffitt’s performance did you like?

The narrator, Deanna Moffitt, really captures the voices and emotions of the characters. She brings the story to life and made it hard to stop listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This was a book that I listened to in two sittings but only because of life responsibilities. I would have continued to listen through the night if not for that pesky thing called work.

Any additional comments?

I was surprised that I enjoyed this story as much as I did. It is very well written and you find yourself having to listen/read just a little more in hopes of finding out what will happen next.

The story is heartbreaking but at the same time full of hope. As soon as I finished listening to book one I attempted to purchase book 2 and 3 on audio. Unfortunately, they aren't available on audio yet but I grabbed them for my Kindle. I need to know how things end for Scott Cramer's characters.

Where does Trapped by Revenge rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my favorite mystery/adventure series. I love all the characters and the narrator does an excellent job with the pacing and voices.

What other book might you compare Trapped by Revenge to and why?

This one is a tough question because I think the storyline for this series is very original but my guess would be Jana DeLeon's mudbug series but without the ghostly elements. The humor, fun, mystery, and adventure is all present though.

What does Wendy Tremont King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The great character voices! She nails the voice of Shelby and the accents for some of the other characters are hilarious.

Would you listen to Night Broken again? Why?

Yes. The Mercy Thompson series is one of my favorite urban fantasy series and even though this is my least favorite of the series it is still part of a series I love so I will definitely listen to it again.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Irritated. There is a lot of ex-wife drama complete with manipulation, stepping on feelings, etc. The end was wrapped up nicely but I just couldn't let go of all the drama leading up to it.

What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amazing personality to the characters. Lorelei King is one of my favorite narrators. I enjoy the pace that she reads at and she doesn't go overboard with the characters. She does a great job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, although it took me about three. Darn work getting in the way.

Lie or Die: A Shelby Nichols Adventure Book 3 is another fantastic adventure with Shelby, Chris, Uncle Joey (not really her uncle), Ramos, and detective Dimples (not his real name).

I adore the characters in this series. They are full of personality and spunk. Each character is continuing to develop and even when they get themselves into unbelievable situations they make it seem plausible. I would have a hard time picking a favorite character because I enjoy them all.

Shelby is finally embracing her mind reading abilities and using them to make a difference in the world. She has decided to open her own “consulting” agency. Her husband, Chris, has justified concerns about this new venture.

It isn’t long before Shelby finds herself having to jungle new business responsibilities with Uncle Joey’s and the local police department need for her “special” skills, carpool days, and trying to decide what to cook for dinner.

This is a great series to read or listen to. Wendy Tremont King does a fantastic job with narration. The audiobook quality is very good and she brings the characters to life by given each one a unique voice. She is very easy to listen to and is a great compliment to Colleen Helme’s great writing.

If you love mystery, suspense, and great characters that make you laugh then this is a series you don’t want to miss. Start with book 1, Carrots. You don’t want to miss out on the story of how Shelby received her “gift”.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely!

The Setting: The mystical and magical culture of India. The adventure, danger, and beauty of the Himalayan mountains. The poverty and need present in Bhutan.

The Characters: I love Zoe and Zak but I have to admit that Zak is still my favorite. Zoe is serious and takes care of business and Zak takes life by the seat of his pants and always makes me laugh. They balance each other out perfectly. In addition to Zoe and Zak we get to revisit with Jill and Tuk, Monsta, Mr. Muk, and the flying elephant, Alta. One of my favorite additions to The Tiger Temple character cast is Open Sesame, Zak’s new parrot.

The Adventure: Off the charts adventure that educates the reader/listener without them even knowing it. You get the opportunity to learn about indian culture and mythology, common words of India, and the beauty and magic of the region.

It is a series that anyone can enjoy.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the way the author weaves modern day India in with the mythological and cultural aspects of this region.

Any additional comments?

The narrator, Sonja Field, is fantastic! She has given Zak, Zoe, and all the other characters of this fantastic series distinct personalities and brings the amazing setting that Lars Guignard has created to life.

And this time they're attending Moonstock Himalayan Boarding School, which might seem fun except for the fact that the school itself is a little strange. Students ride elephants instead of school buses, snarling monkeys work as security guards, and angry parrots monitor the halls. And even when they manage to get used to the wildlife, the food is absolutely terrible.
