It is always difficult for me to do a review of a book that I loved like Forever Mine because words can not fully articulate the myriad of emotions I felt while listening it. The joy that I experienced listening to Anna Zaires' masterful storytelling, the anguish I felt when characters were subjected to physical and emotional pain, the fear I carried for the safety of these beloved characters, the desire that flowed through my veins like an electrical charge at scenes so full of passion they were almost tangible and the ultimate sorrow I experienced knowing I was listening to the final words of a series that I have loved, reread and listened to for so many wonderful years. This is the difficulty of writing a review for Forever Mine, which concludes a series that has carried me on a passionate, dangerous, twisting, tormenting journey for years and captured my heart, mind, body and soul. Anna Zaires' Tormentor Mine series, a spin-off of her equally wonderful Twist Me trilogy, has been such an amazing journey and Forever Mine ends it with a 5 star adventure! It gives fans of the 10 Twist Me world books the ending they both desire and deserve.

"...I love him - all of him, the dark parts included."

The story starts almost where it left off, after Peter and Sarah's wedding night. Sarah finally reveals to Peter her ultimate confession - she loves him and needs his darkness "directed at her" to absolve her guilt for loving "a monster." This is a huge revelation for Sarah as she spent the first two books running away from Peter and her feelings for him. She has finally made peace with her desire and need of him and accepted that her love for him is bigger than the shadows that follow him and the darkness that will always be a part of him. With her admission and acceptance, they are able to fully explore their relationship and all of the innate sensuality and passion that has always been part of their relationship. Now, there is no guilt or limits as they explore each other over and over giving the listener a delicious earful of Sebastian York's husky baritone speaking words of love and desire to Sarah. The book is filled with their insatiable love making and Peter's welcomed dominance over Sarah's body that I'm not ashamed to admit, had me sliding around in my chair...

"...all hell breaks loose."

Beyond the passion, the dangerous action is the focus of this book. Peter's long time nemesis Henderson, plots to exact his vengeance upon him and the other alphas of the Twist Me world, Peter's one time associates, Julian Esguerra and Lucas Kent. They, along with their wives Nora and Yulia are targeted by Henderson in an attempt to kill Peter. The alphas must come together to foil his plans and take him down once and for all. Listening to the action is like watching a big screen Hollywood action movie play out with dangerous shootouts, car crashes and fights. Anna Zaires paints such a vivid picture of bullets and bodies flying and falling that Hollywood producer Michael Bay would be envious. Beloved characters are lost, new alliances are formed and the inner strength and the depths of the human spirit and emotional resilience are tested. You root, cheer, pray and mourn for these people that you have come to know and love over 10 books while sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation of the outcome. Never a dull moment or superfluous scene to be found. It is riveting from start to finish.

I want Anna to torment me with her books forever, to write books with all of the twisted, brilliant darkness that comes from her 'pen' and heart.

I just stole one of Anna's lines in Forever Mine and "Twisted" and "Captured" it to try and articulate not only my feelings about the book, but of her writing in general. I have read everything Anna has ever written and have been blown away by the creativity, intelligence and adventure of her books. Forever Mine is a culmination of the Twist Me world but thankfully not the last of her works. I don't know what book she plans to write next but I know I can't wait to embark again on the glorious journey of being deliciously twisted, captured and tormented by her dark pen.

Jane Henry's Island Captive was a tiny bit dark and a lot of sexy! Nadine is a US Marshall who's job it is to apprehend Adrian for the crime of murder - killing his submissive back in the states. He has fled to an island to escape captivity. When their plane crashes on a deserted island and everyone but the two of them are killed it is Nadine's turn to become a captive.

Adrian the sexy Dom decides to turn the tables on Nadine and make her his unwilling submissive and show her what it is like to be the one in charge. Adrian is determined to use her and "bring her to heel" without emotions. Just sex! Nadine is determined to resist him and wait for her chance to escape him and the island. Neither one of them however counts on their mutual attraction growing into something way more than sexual...As the two of them fight for survival on this island they realize their hearts are becoming captive to each other.

Is Adrian guilty of the crimes he's charged with. Will Nadine find a way to escape him and the island and bring him to justice? Will they even survive their time on the island? All is not as it seems and yet questions and lives hang in the balance.

D.C. Cole does an excellent job at narrating both Nadine and Adrian's voice - especially Adrian's. He really captures the emotions of both of the characters and draws you into the story.

I wish there was a follow up to this book. Who knows if we ask nice enough maybe Jane Henry will give us a sequel...

I love Trevor Noah on the Daily Show. He is smart, funny, insightful and quick witted. This book however gives you the genesis of these attributes and shows you just where and who he got it from.

Words fail me to fully articulate how good this book is and how much it moved me. Trevor Noah's stories of growing up in South Africa both during and after Apartheid shaped him and his family. He also tells us about the woman who raised him to be the intelligent thoughtful man he is today - his mother.

This book will make you laugh, cry, cheer and raise your fist in anger at humanity and all of our follies and failings and reaffirm that love is indeed stronger than hate.

Just listen for yourself and be moved beyond words.

I really enjoyed this book mainly because the narration is so funny even though the subject matter is a bit dark. Melissa Moran's narration really reflects the TSTL college girl Carter and her youth. Carter is one of those girls that if she were living in the south everyone would say "Bless her heart" She manages to get herself in ridiculous trouble like all of the blondes of a slasher movie. Somehow though, she is endearing and you really want her to get away from her obsession. Her Russian would be love is the head of the Bratva and he both indulges and chastises Carter in equal measure but is obsession with her leads him to take a darker turn in his treatment of her. This book has been criticized for not being a romance but since this is a trilogy I'm sure all is not what it seems - though at the end of the book it does seem very bleak. Unfortunately the rest of the series is not in audiobook but I will read them anyway because I have to see how it all pans out. Fingers crossed Carter makes it to the last page...

There is a lot going on in this book and it is fun to listen to and sad in parts. Kayne and Ellie come to terms with their relationship while facing challenges that test their bond. M Never turns up the heat but makes you want to feel the burn. The narration as usual is spot on and adds so much depth to the story. I love to hear Sam Crowley go all out sexy! For those that like their heat levels set to 10 and are okay with some darkness this book is for you!

I was so lost in the smexiness of this book as I was listening to it while preparing dinner that I almost ruined my food!. Think of this book as a long epilogue for Kayne and Ellie. This short audiobook gives you an update on their life a few years after we last encountered them in Claimed. It also has my favorite guy Jett in it. The narration is good except there is very little of Sam Crowley in it which is why I can't give it 5 stars. I know the narration follows the book but I wish M Never wrote more from Kayne's perspective. That is really the only negative criticism I have with this book. It was nice to see how they adjusted to life and love post Claimed.

This is a really good listen and you will definitely be taken on a journey that is surprising and somewhat dark. What makes it so good is that you realize when a man loves a woman he indeed goes to through hell and back for her and that is what happens in this book. I love stories where the H doesn't let the h stop their love and sets out to prove to her that they are meant to be together. This book has lots of feels and characters that you want to meet in their own books. Will definitely get the next in the series.

This entire series is incredible and to listen to it with so many narrators makes it even more so. It is not for the faint of heart as there is so much that can trigger a listener. But there is light at the end of it and the light is paved with love and redemption and grace. All of the Hades Hangmen books/audiobooks are a ride worth taking.

I finally took the plunge with this book and I am loathe to review it without listening to the entire series but I couldn't help myself just a wee bit. I just wanted to say that I love a strong heroine and Pearl/Button is as strong as they come. This book is dark and Pearl goes through some unspeakable things but she has such as strength about her you don't often see in these kind of books. You know she will triumph in the end in the face of the darkness. I can't wait to listen to the next one.
