But what Ryan doesn’t know is that his son, Jack Ryan, Jr., has joined his cousins, Brian and Dominic Caruso, at the shadowy Campus. While a highly effective analyst, young Ryan hungers for the action of a field agent.

His work for the CIA is brilliant, cold-blooded, and efficient, but who is he? In a harrowing tour de force, phenomenally best-selling author Tom Clancy shows how an ordinary man named John Kelly crossed the lines of justice and morality to become the CIA legend known as Mr. Clark. It is an unforgettable journey into the heart of darkness, without mercy - without remorse.

what a darn waste if what I'm sure could have been an amazing story. I couldn't tell when one character stopped speaking, and the next started, when one male character started thinking what a female character should; was about the time that I literally began tongue in and say that this performance just totally sucked ass, and I am being kind. when I could distinguish characters apart, it felt as tho the narrator had just found out he wasn't going to be paid for this and so, just became wholly disinterested. what a sad, sad waste of a credit. This is one you'd be better off reading yourself. There are just entirely too many nuanced moments in the writing that are just grossly disemboweled by the narrator lack of interest. I would have given it a two if the story itself hadn't been so good. Buy at your own risk.

This book, which I've both read and listened to, is the reason I'm a Clancy fan. However, don't listen to it, at least as your first Clancy listen. it was never been replicated in my opinion. Now, for the serious part; get this book aleady, what are you waiting for!!! The book, performance and breathtaking story is well, well worth it!! Best Ever Clancy!!

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

if there were ever any doubt that Rowling might be a "one trick pony" because of her brilliant H.P. series; it must now be forever dispelled!! This book, this story is so profound, has so many differing levels that come alive only because of her talents as a writer. I bought this, not knowing if I'd enjoy it, precisely because I am such a huge H.P. fan. I will forever buy every book she authors, she is that good. Geez Louise, Rowling is in a class all her own!!
