Initially was not feeling the format., but after the childhood part, I loved it all! Loved the last 5 minutes when he talks about God. Loved it!

This is one of the best books I've listened to. The combination of Hemingway's moving story and Donald Sutherland's soothing voice is exceptional. I could not stop listening. What a great listen!

I have to say that coming in I did not expect to come out of this listen with the amount of respect and admiration I’ve since developed. His respect for the stance Senator Cooper took in support of the civil rights legislation and his willingness to put aside party first mentality to vote against President Reagan for vetoing sanctions against apartheid South Africa were inspiring. And to boot, he’s funny. Wonderful listen!

My third time listening to this audiobook. The narrator takes use to, but the book is awesome.

A very refreshing book. Loved the candor and the courage it took to stand up for one's values.

The beginning of the book was very tedious, but as soon as the writer started alternating the story in Mars and the story back on earth, it became a very nice listen.

I actually enjoyed The Odyssey more than The Iliad. Everything about this audiobook was great: the story, the performance by Lescault, & the amount of references still in use today; for example, birds of a feather, etc. my eyes welled often, and I hope yours do too.

I tried to get this book in English, but the versions here are either too monotone or I couldn't follow the poetic language. This version was awesome. I loved it.

Although I had listened to both Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs, I had stayed away from this book because the reviews were horrible. But I actually enjoyed the author's reading. The only thing I'd change would be that it be an unabridged version. Well good luck and hope you enjoy!!!😎

I loved it. I cried. I laughed. I hoped alongside Cheryl. The narrator was awesome. I had heard her before in Memoirs of a Geisha. Wow!
