I was concerned at first about the voices played by the narrator for each character (dull and lifeless), but then she got more comfortable and gave each character a voice with personality. She did a wonderful job! I was able to follow and the enjoy the book. Now I am waiting to earn my next free point so I can continue with part 2... Masquerade.

This book was very interesting and the ending was not at all what I expected. Please listen to the authors afterword at the end of the book. Good information.

Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

Trevor nailed it when he wrote and narrated this book. He also educated me on some information about the history of Africa. It's sad that, black natives went through so much racism in their OWN country and it found a way to cross the Atlantic and walk among us in America as well. I chose this book with one of my points but did not expect to get such a great story. His mother is amazing and blessed! Trust me, you WILL enjoy this book!

Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.
