Injured during the battle, the enchantress has lost her memory, but Cameron harbors one of her. Long ago, a seer foretold that this woman had the power to destroy him. He's confident he's not so weak as to succumb to her charms, but the mysterious woman soon proves herself brave, guileless, and after one foolish, searing kiss, impossible to resist.

This the story of Cameron the youngest brother of the Macleods who is trying to prove himself to everyone, his family, his king but mostly himself. He is guarding the king's mistress but an attack leaves him with a woman with no memory.
Sorcha's father is behind an evil plot that she over hears one to ultimately try to bring down the king. Sorcha has always known she should have fled her father but has stayed to protect her brother and uncle. When she leaves to warn of the plot she loses her memory.
Cameron now must deal with Sorcha but a seer warned him that she would betray him but he can't seem to resist her.

This is the 5th in the Highlander Vows series. While this story follows the others in the series it stands alone. Julie Johnson does a wonderful job developing all the characters in all her books. As with the other books she makes you want to keep reading to find out what happens to them.

Tim Campbell does an excellent job bringing Julie's characters off the page and to life through his voice acting. I loved listening to him and look forward to another audio book with him in it.

New to society, Brette adores the whirlwind social scene and the slightly-sensual verbal sparring with the devilishly attractive, much too witty, and oh so unsuitable Mr. Hawksworth. But her fairytale existence crashes to a halt when rumors circulate that she's a peer's illegitimate granddaughter. Even though he's left her a tidy inheritance, formerly hospitable doors slam in her face as a newly appointed guardian emerges, intent on stealing her wealth and forcing her to wed an elderly despot.

Lucan, the Duke of Harcourt has to be one of my favorite of Collette Cameron's characters. A rouge to the world but a true gentleman and hero to his friends and family.

A nice short story. Three years prior Olivia and Allen fell in love over just a few weeks. Allen asks Olivia to marry him but her father is ill and is moving the family away to the Caribbean. In anger Allen tells her if she choses her father over him it is over. She tells him her will return in a year.
The story finds Olivia being taken to a ball by her brother and dowager Dutchess aunt who think her seeing Allen again will help her move on now that she is back. What happens from there shows that true love love never dies.
Collette once again spins a lovely tale that pulls you in and makes you cheer on the characters.

It began nearly 400 years ago. The Conall clan and all their people were murdered in a surprise attack, their beloved castle and all evidence of who destroyed them burned to the ground with their bodies. In the centuries following, archaeologists searched through the ruins looking for any evidence of what or who had caused the untimely demise of such a powerful Scottish clan. All efforts were fruitless until a spell put in place by an ancient Conall ancestor finally began to work its magic.

Lily Baldwin weaves a wonderful tale set in the bowels of Edinburgh. Of a woman cast off before she was born by her father, loved by her mother and hidden from the world under the guise of a boy. During her struggles to survive a man from the highlands comes to find his wayward brother and she's forced to face what she's ignored her own needs and a world she left behind.
James McCreadie's narration brings the story to life. This was a wonderful way to discover this story and my first audio book. I'm thrilled with it.
