My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me. My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed. Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite. I can’t stand him. He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all.

Milo and Danielle had me enthralled from the very start. They are absolutely perfect for each other. Loved the dynamic of Ava and Danielle and their love for Parker.

Narration was ‘spot on’ and added so much to the story. I love feeling like I’m in their world and not just observing it.

I was sorry when this one ended, I wanted to stay there in their world a while longer.

Taken by Love is the story of Daisy Honey and Luke Braden. Daisy is a beautiful girl whose reputation was slaughtered in her high school years by lies and rumors spread by hear jealous female classmates.
She left her hometown of Trusty, Colorado right after high school, going to medical school and becoming a doctor. After receiving her degree, she returns to Trusty to help care for her injured father and their ranch, and to decide which big city she will relocate to and begin her career.
Luke Braden is, well, a Braden. What can you say? He’s handsome and wealthy. A hard-working, extremely successful horse breeder, and single; and every unattached woman in Trusty would love to corral him. He’s ready to find someone to spend his life with but worries that his past may present a roadblock to his happily ever after.
Like everyone else, Daisy has always had a crush on Luke. When she literally runs into him and takes care of a barbed wire cut on his arm, which he has duct taped, she remembers how he had been the only one in high school to stand up for her when things got bad. Luke remembers Daisy, too, and decides he’d like to get to know this grown-up Daisy a little better.
So begins a journey of healing for both Luke and Daisy, and the realization that home may really be the best place to be. Though the old animosity is still there, they manage to work through it and the town embraces them and discovers who they really are.
This is another wonderful love story from Melissa Foster, for everyone who loves the Braden’s and their magic.

As a Grand Prix driver, Hugh Braden know all about the limelight and everything that goes along with it. He’s dated actresses, models, debutants the whole gamut. He’s used to having his pick and being in charge but, as a favor to his mechanic, he goes on a blind date thinking he will have a drink or two with this woman and call it a night. What he encounters at the small town bar is something he’s never thought he wanted, something that will change his life forever.
Brianna Heart is a talented photographer and a single mom, working two jobs and doing what she thinks is best to build a safe, stable life for herself and her six year old daughter. She has a plan, that doesn’t include any man, and she’s managed to stick to it for the past six years. Only 12 more to go. Her waitressing job at the local bar puts food on their table, pays most of the bills, and has provided her with friends who are willing to watch over and protect her and Layla.
When Hugh’s blind date turns out to be the town gold-digger and loudmouth, he extracts himself as quickly as possible and decides to return to the bar the next night to see if he can get the beautiful waitress to go out with him, but she keeps him at arm’s length and tries to ignore him. What will it take to win her over, and why is it so important to him that he does?
Hugh and Bri’s story is truly heart-warming. It’s an awakening for both of them as they come to the realization that they need each other and that this need will not disrupt their lives but will surely enrich them. The interaction between the main characters is flawless, especially between Layla and Hugh. This is now my favorite Braden story. If you have followed the Braden’s at all, you cannot miss this one.

Savannah Braden has finally ended things with her on-again off-again, country music star boyfriend. Struggling to regain her footing and confidence in herself she decides to do a survivor boot camp in the mountains. Always friendly and outgoing Savannah is taken aback when she meets their devastatingly handsome, but uptight (to the point of being rude), guide for their adventure. Fearing this would be another bad choice for her she tries to ignore the sparks that fly between them.

Jack Remington suffered a terrible loss when his wife was killed in a car accident. He blames himself for letting her go out alone in the storm. In an effort to never have to feel that pain again he has withdrawn from his family, friends, and life in general, spending all of his time in the mountains, training others to survive in the wild. One look at Savannah Braden and he feels tiny little fissures beginning to crack the walls he’s built around his heart. His guilt and anger with himself grows with every glance at her.

Jack and Savannah’s journey is one of healing, forgiveness, and redemption for both of them. There are lessons to be learned and fears to be faced before they can acknowledge that they are worthy of the kind of love and life they both want. Getting there will be heartbreaking at times.

The entire Braden clan makes appearances throughout the story keeping us up to date on all the family news while watching out for their only sister; throwing their protective arms around her as only the Braden’s can. As a fan of this series, I know you will love Savannah and Jack’s story as much as I did.

Holy Hotness! Narrator,Sebastian York, will definitely start a fire, then stoke it into a furnace by the end of the first chapter. Jack and Michelle, with two ll's, are a perfect match for each other, and they strike that match, a lot.

I don't want to give anything away, but these two are definitely meant to be together. They want the same things but are hesitant to admit their true feelings to each other. Agreeing to spend 30 nights together they are sure they can each have their fun and then move on. Ha. Ha. Ha. Not going to happen.

The twists and turns of their story are thoroughly mixed and stirred as only Lauren Blakely can do and will keep you guessing until the last, satisfying words of their story are uttered, playfully, by Michelle. With two ll's.

I'm not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him.

If you could sum up Say You Want Me in three words, what would they be?

Touching, agonizing, tender

What did you like best about this story?

Seeing Wyatt and Angie come to the realization of what is truly important in their lives and watching them grow as a couple.

What about Sophie Eastlake and Zachary Webber ’s performance did you like?

The narrators both did a fantastic job distinguishing their characters and making them come to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed at Angie's stubbornness and Wyatt's attempts to break down her walls, and then I cried and truly felt their pain as they struggled through the toughest trial they will ever experience.

Any additional comments?

I love this author's writing style and her ability to pull you into the lives of the characters within the first few pages. The only bad thing is that I reach for my headphones every chance I get and the book is done too soon, leaving me sad that it's over and searching frantically for the next one.

I was gifted this book by the author and am providing an honest review.

Paige is trying to recover from heartbreak after her boyfriend dumps her in an email. The perfect way to forget him is to help chaperone a group of teenagers on a European tour over the summer, right? There’s just one small problem, Nick, the aforementioned boyfriend, shows up on said European tour, also as a chaperone. Oops!

Nick had always been a little secretive about his personal life, not sharing the day to day chatter about his job, or even his family. Paige had always chalked it up to the fact that they hadn’t known each other long. They grew very close, very quickly and Paige believed that they would have a future together. When Nick left her, it broke her heart.

Now, Paige would have to deal with Nick on a daily basis for the next three months and she was not happy about it. She let him know right away how angry she was with him and that she did not want anything more to do with him. Nick was also broken hearted without Paige in his life and had decided to tell her the truth and hope that she would give him another chance.

Nick has a lot of former lies and half-truths to explain, and secrets to unveil. As they are beginning to mend their relationship, the teen tour takes a scary turn that will force the two to work together as a team and to make some tough decisions about their lives.

Nick and Paige are strong characters in a well plotted story. I always enjoy Lindzee’s writing style and this book is no exception. This is a wonderful second-chance romance with a little mystery and intrigue mixed in. The narration is wonderfully executed by Stacey Glemboski giving each character their own tone and style. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

The Braden saga continues with Dane Branden taking the plunge. Dane and Lacy have only actually seen each other once in the past 15 months. Their attraction was immediate and strong but their careers drove them in different directions and kept them apart, physically, for over a year.

Theirs is a story of learning to overcome fears. They’re both young and idealistic, determined to follow the path they have set for their lives. They’d met at Lacy’s sister’s wedding 15 months earlier and were wildly attracted to each other but did not have the time or opportunity to explore their feelings. They have been communicating with SKYPE and phone calls all this time and now Dane’s brother, Treat, is getting married and they have both arranged to take the time to get to know each other and see where it all goes.

Dane’s love of the ocean, and sharks, is his life and his livelihood. He has always used this as an excuse to never commit to anyone. He spends 98% of his life on the water, even living on his boat. No ties. He has avoided commitment ever since the loss of his mother as a young boy. Watching the pain his father has endured every minute since his mother passed has made him think that loving someone that much is not for him.

His career also poses a huge problem for Lacy, who was attacked by a shark at a young age and bears the scars, inside and out. She is afraid Dane will not want anything more to do with her if he finds out she is deathly afraid of sharks. Not to mention that she is just starting to make a name for herself in her chosen field of marketing and she doesn’t want to give up all the ground she has gained in the industry to travel the world’s oceans, even if it is with the sexiest man she has ever known.

The journey these two must make to conquer their fears is the crux of this story and I found it very moving. It makes you stop and think about your own fears, what would you do to get over them, to move forward with your life, and to have the happiness that is right in front of you, but just out of reach?

Oh those Braden men! Tall, dark, and handsome, just for starters, then throw in strong, passionate, and devoted. Now sprinkle with just a touch of insecurity and suspicion and you have the recipe for another smoking hot story from Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom – The Bradens series.

Josh Braden and Riley Banks grew up together and had a crush on each other all through their school years. They were never able to act on those feelings due to a heated feud between the Braden family and the family of Riley’s best friend, Jade Johnson. Riley’s loyalty to Jade and Josh’s loyalty to his family has always prevented them from getting together.

Recently, Josh’s brother Rex has connected with the love of his life, Jade Johnson, and the feud between the two families has been resolved. Josh has come home to help celebrate his brother, Treat’s, engagement and to spend some time with his family. As a very successful designer in Manhattan, he doesn’t get to spend as much time with them as he would like. While celebrating with his family, Jade tells Josh about Riley and what an amazing designer she has become. He asks to see her portfolio and when they get together the old spark is still there.

Josh is more than impressed with Riley’s design work and hires her to work as a design assistant, hoping she will continue to learn and work her way up in his company. He places her under the tutorship of his lead designer, Claudia, who takes an immediate dislike to Riley. Trouble starts brewing from day one and eventually Claudia hatches a scheme, accusing Riley of stealing her designs. The problem is, they are actually Riley’s designs but she has no way of proving it. Josh is unsure what to believe, which breaks Riley’s heart, and the battle is on.

I loved the characters in this story. Melissa’s characters are always strong and well-written, but Josh and Riley really struck me. They are both strong-willed and determined people not wanting to jeopardize their careers, but not willing to throw away their love for each other, either. What they share is definitely worth fighting for, but will they? This series just never gets old for me. I keep thinking these stories have got to start getting repetitive at some point, but they just never do. Each one is as fresh, exciting, and swoon-worthy as the very first one.
