Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a queen - the first queen of Wessco. It’s a big deal. When she’s crowned at just 19, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident, and cunning. What she isn’t...is married. It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want. Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man - particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.

Royally Yours by Emma Chase (Audiobook)
Narrated by: Andi Ardnt & Shane East
Series: Royally book 4

5 Stars - This was a very heartwarming story. Lenora and Edward had wonderful chemistry, great banter and endearing moments.  I laughed, and at times I felt sad, but throughout I felt the love these two shared. This was a great beginning story for the Monarchy.

Also as a bonus (which I didn't know until it came on) the novella Royally Raised was added to the audiobook! Such a nice surprise as I hadn't read that yet.

Both narrators did a fantastic job. They really made the characters come to life for me in this story.

Falling For The Highlander by Lynsay Sands (Audiobook)

4 Stars - Lady Murine was a strong heroine, even when she has a weakness. Dougall was a great match, he cared for her, helped to cure her and stayed by her side. The two had good chemistry and I loved watching them fall in love.

Elle Newlands did a wonderful job as narration.

3.5 Stars - I liked Shelley and Beau together. They fit and had a wonderful chemistry right of the start. He was patient, kind and understanding. She was strong, hardworking and truly wanted to work towards her goals. All these attributes really stood out and played a strong part in their story. I was a bit worried at the beginning when I saw that Shelley had a complex disorder. I wondered if the author would try to cure it- which to me, would be super unbelievable.. instead she shows us how Shelley is making progress.. which I liked. I should have known better. Penny Reid is a terrific writer and her stories often feel realistic.

The narrations were done well.

Molly Harper brings her signature "clever humor, snark, silliness, and endearing protagonists" ( Booklist) to the charming small town of Lake Sackett, Georgia with the new Southern Eclectic series. Carl and Marianne were high school sweethearts, loving the way only teenagers can - with no thought to logic or pride, just a bone-headed, optimistic frenzy of unicorns and hormones. That was all they needed. Or so Carl thought. Scared of being stuck in Lake Sackett, Georgia, like so many of her friends, Marianne panicked and bolted....

Save a Truck, Ride a Redneck by Molly Harper (Audiobook)

2.5 Stars - I wish I had read this book before Sweet Tea and Sympathy as it spends a while going over the family dynamics and town relations, which was information I already had. Also, I am someone who likes to read books in order. Marianne and Carl’s story is a second chance one. Again I wish there was more romance to it. It was an ok quick read.

The narration was done well.

The Varlet and the Voyeur by Penny Reid and LH Cosway (Audiobook)
Narrated by: Paul Corning, Jennifer O’Brien
Series: Rugby 4

3 Stars - I was looking forward to Williams story as in the other books he seemed like a sweet man. I do wish they hadn't made him a voyeur. That part of the story didn't fit his character for me. Josie wasn't my favourite character as she seemed very selfish in the other books. I liked her a bit more in this story, and she got on well with William. Together Josie and Will had decent chemistry and I am happy he got his HEA.

The narration was ok. Paul Corning did a pretty decent job, however I found Ms. OBrien seemed to read too fast and without emotion. She had a nice sounding voice which wasn't unpleasant to listen to, so had she added a bit more emotion and slowed down a bit she would have been amazing.

We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan (Audiobook)

5 Stars - This book was recommended to me by a friend and I am glad I read it. I loved the premise of a nonverbal person finding his perfect match. I was looking forward to lots of body language and possibly a different take on getting to know each other as this was the first book I have ever read with a lead character who doesn't speak. It didn't disappoint. From the first meeting you can feel a spark of chemistry between Archer and Bree and it just grew from there. Their courtship was fun, heartfelt and passionate. I enjoyed watching them fall in love. After about halfway in, I did feel that they were a lot like randy rabbits…(having sex all the time) however it wasn't drawn out and detailed each time, which was good as it didn't make the story boring.

The writing and narration were both done well and overall I quite enjoyed it.

2 Stars - Found this audiobook in Audible’s Romance Package and decided to read something from when I first fell in love with romance! I remember loving Amanda Quick and quickly making it through her entire backlist. This time around, I found that the book lacked the witty dialogue I have come to expect in my historical romances, and instead favours discussing antiquities. I wonder if just my tastes have changed or if perhaps I just chose one of the books that wasn’t her best. I am sure I will try another of hers again in the future and see. The plot itself was alright, but I did find that it seemed to drag a bit.

The narrator did a good job. I would listen to her again.
