A magnificent saga of American fiction, the Sacketts series is one of the greatest treasures by legendary storyteller Louis L'Amour. In The Daybreakers, L'Amour spins the tale of two brothers who couldn't be more different - yet remain bound by their restlessness of spirit.

Another Great Louis L'Amour Western Yarn

The Daybreakers is another one of L'Amour's Sackett saga titles -- it is just a terrific read, in my opinion. Covering a family's exodus from Appalachia to the wild west -- history, adventure and excitement abound. I couldn't put this one down -- I had to listen straight through.

I believe that the Sackett novels are the apogee of L'Amour's writings. I hope Audible gets more of this series in it's inventory.

After discovering six gold Roman coins buried in the mud of the Devil's Dyke, Barnabas Sackett enthusiastically invests in goods that he will offer for trade in America. But Sackett has a powerful enemy: Rupert Genester, nephew of an earl, wants him dead. A battlefield promise made to Sackett’s father threatens Genester’s inheritance. So on the eve of his departure for America, Sackett is attacked and thrown into the hold of a pirate ship.

Sackett's Land is a wonderful adventure story. It is very different from most of the othe LL books I have read or listened to. Different BUT NOT bad -- it is a superb story of swashbuckling proportions. It is an audio book I had to listen to straight through!

LL really hit upon an area or subject of perpetual interest to me. It's a great story -- listen to it & enjoy!
