I really really enjoyed this book from start to finish. It was a wonderful listen. The coming together of a family that so desperately needed each other. Going from city life to simple life. Maybe because it was relate-able, but I enjoyed the story line and the narrator did a great job assisting in painting the picture of the characters. Highly recommend

Inheriting the Magnolia Inn, a Victorian home nestled in the East Texas pines, is a fantasy come true for Jolene Broussard. After living with the guilt of failing to rescue her self-destructive mother, Jolene knows her aunt and uncle’s B&B is the perfect jump start for a new life and a comforting place to call home. There’s just one hitch: stubborn and moody carpenter Tucker Malone. He’s got a half interest in the Magnolia Inn, and he’s planting his dusty cowboy boots squarely in the middle of her dream.

I enjoyed listening to this one. I finished it in less than 3 days, which is difficult due to working full time and being a mom and farmer too. I just couldn't stop listening. The story explores losses, trials, triumphs, and love that conquers. It was a great listen. I wasn't a fan of one of the "voices" of the characters, it was the "Cajun dialect" that was annoying to me. This is the second book by Brown that I purchased and at first I wasn't a fan of using the same names from the previous book, I had a hard time separating the differences in the characters but due to the great imagery I was able to picture them in a new light as totally separate characters. I enjoyed this one and will adventure into more of Browns writings.

I enjoyed the story line however, the random music while the narrator was reading was distracting and annoying at times. I didn't mind the parts between to "separate" who was telling the story but the other times I didn't care for. I am a Sparks fan, I like most all of his books because of the love story that is involved. It is a nice to live inside the book and see the vivid imagery.

Saying no isn't the hard part - they've only been dating for five months, and he can't even spell her name correctly. The hard part is having to face a stadium full of disappointed fans....
