I'm a romance junkie and when I read the blurb of this book, I got excited. The narration was superb, but the story was formulaic. There were no outside-of-the-box moments. I kept hoping and waiting for more, but it did not happen. It was not a bad story, but it was one that I knew I could stop listening to at any time and I would not be able to recall the characters' names.

Secret Enemy was the best book in the Secret Series. This series needs to be turned into a movie. I enjoyed listening to it, and I thought that the narrator was excellent. It was very interesting to see things from Jonas' point of view. At times, I was angry with him, and other times I was sad for him. However, what I enjoyed most were the subtle Christian elements. Now let me explain; some people reading will say this is definitely not how Christian characters should act. Keep in mind that I did not say this was a Christian book, but it had touches of the Christian faith, which did not bother me because I mostly read Christian fiction.

I hope Gina A. Jones will give Luke and Natalie a story. I know Luke is much younger than her, but wouldn't that make an interesting twist? Gina A. Jones, if you are reading this review, please give these two a story. Overall, this was one of the best series that I have had the privilege to indulge in for a while. I did not want it to end. I want Sydney to have her own story too.

I feel lost, because I feel like these characters are my friends who I know will stay in my head for weeks and months. They will say, "Do you remember when you listened to the story about a damaged king, an innocent queen, and princess who just wanted a family?"

The narration of Her Secret was superb. I could visualize every scene, which has me hoping that this book would one day become a movie. I love the characters, but I will admit that I was annoyed with both Jonas and Julia. I'm one of those readers who believes that two grown people should be able to work their issues out instead of dragging them on and on with one lie after another. I can understand that the author wanted to keep the reader in suspense and add intrigue, along with some angst, but it frustrated me at times.

Does that mean this story is bad? No. It is good, very good. It actually had me responding to the characters out loud. There were times when I was sitting at my desk listening to this story saying, "Please tell Jonas the truth!" or I would be snapping at the nanny or yelling at Jonas. I was very involved in the story and the lives of these characters. At one time, I found myself rolling my eyes at something Jenna said. This is why I know it would make a great movie.

Netflix and Passionflix, please contact Gina A. Jones and tell her you would love to turn her book into a movie.

It took me a minute to settle into this story, but once I did, I was curious to see what was going to happen between Julia and Jonas. I knew there was some mystery, and I love that the author gave us readers a little bit of that mystery as the story unfolded to keep us readers interested. I could visualize this as a movie. I could see every scene played out, which I think is awesome.

The narration was good, and I believe that helped with how I visualized the story. The narrator was able to give each character their own distinctive voice. I can't wait to listen to the next book, and I hope that this will be a movie someday.

This was a good story; it was cute and sweet but not fluff. These characters dealt with relatable issues, and I love how the author allows the characters to be honest with each other about their feelings and relationship. The conflict was something that readers can relate too and not like most books where it is trivial, and it leaves you wondering why the characters are making an issue out of something that can be corrected in less than 2 minutes.

When I saw the cover of Decadent Dreams I thought here is another book full of sex but no substance, and then I read the blurb and thought this may be a good audiobook after all. Well, it was a good book to listen to and the storyline is intriguing. I enjoyed the interaction between Phoenix and Nico; at times they frustrated me, but most of the time their interaction was comical and sweet. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the moment when they would confess to being in love with each other, and I love seeing Nico work through the pain and hurt that his ex-wife inflicted on him. There were occasions when I wanted to shake some sense into him because he allowed his past to dictate to him, but that also made for an interesting story.

The narration was ok; to me the narrators did not capture all the nuances of the characters' personality. At times it felt like they were just reading the words on the page instead of putting us listeners into the mind of the character. I did love the male narrator's voice, but it was the one that frustrated me too. As I said, I loved the story, I hope Nicole Garcia will give Giovanni his own story. I really like that this was a older man/younger woman story.

This is not my favorite Kristen Ashley book, actually. I would have to say it is my least favorite. There were a few things I did not like, and maybe it had to do with the narration of the story. I'm not saying the narrator was bad but I was annoyed with the "Daddy" references, and I felt the story lacked depth. I also felt that Knight was demanding and controlling: yes, the character did say he likes control, but he came across as domineering and not caring. On a scale from one to ten, Knight was a three. Something to pass the time with, but I can't say it held my attention.

I was intrigued and determined to see what would happen between Jake and Josie. I was not disappointed by this couple; they kept me on my toes, made me smile, and at times I wanted to shake some sense into one of the main characters. In addition, I love how Kristen Ashley incorporated Jake's kids into the story because it made me as a reader want to know as much about tthem as I wanted to know about Jake and Josie.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. I was listening to Broken Dove by Kristen Ashley and it was amazing. It is my favorite in the series. I started listening to this series a week ago and I read book 1. Scratch that - I listened to book 1. I listened to book 3 and skipped over book 2 because when I was reading some of the reviews, I was not pleased with some of the things that I read in the reviews. It was not because of how the reviewer was reviewing the book but rather some of the things they said that were in the book. I tried listening to book 2 and I didn't care for how it started out but I will try to go back to it.

Broken Dove was about Apollo and Maddie and I loved how Kristen Ashley took two broken people on a journey to healing. This is a fantasy series but I don't think the author really dwells on the fantasy aspect of the book that much. Just my personal opinion. Don't misconstrue what I'm saying. There is magic, elves, witches and other creatures who play a significant part in the story but the author mainly focuses on the relationship between the couple. And that is what I loved most about Broken Dove.

The narrator was good but as I said in a previous review, the voices for the main female characters sound the same to me. The narrator does do a great job with all the other voices, especially the voices of Apollo's children. Great story and it is one of my favorite of 2018.

I'm reading the Fantasyland series, and I'm loving it so far. I skipped book 2 because I did not like how it began, but book 3 is good. At one point in the story, I thought I was not going to like Fantastical, I didn't like the title. However, the author had some twists and turns that made the story a lot more enjoyable than I expected.

The narrator is good, but I'm realizing that all the main female characters sound alike in each book. She does well with all the other characters, and I think she gives readers a great visual of what the parallel universe looks like.
