While her boyfriend Forrest searches for a job, quick witted Annet works at the Keizer Manor where the oils from 19th century master painter Alexander Keizer are exhibited.  After a fight, the couple strolls through the dunes. When dark clouds roll in, the beautiful sunny weather turns into a thunderstorm so violent that they get separated. The next morning, Forrest finds himself alone. So does Annet. Regaining consciousness in a monastery, Annet is convinced the nuns are playing a prank on her. It can't be the 1800's!

This is one of the best audiobooks I have listened to in a while. I loved Annette, and her strength amazed me. Forrest was also uniquely loveable. Such an amazingly well told time travel romance. It left me satisfied, yet wanting more. It was extremely hard to pick a book to follow it.

Can I tame the Bad Boy Playboy of Silicon Valley? Damian Black: He’s gorgeous and knows it. A titan of the tech industry and not yet 30. Models and starlets are his for the taking. A billionaire. And so very good at being bad. I tell myself I don’t want him even though I do, in the worst way. But I’ve got a secret that could ruin everything. Gigi Stevens: She’s brainy and beautiful and has a tongue as sharp as an ice pick. I’m the face of a multi-billion-dollar tech company and I’ve got a rep. I’m used to shallow and superficial but that’s not her.

Ian Chase broke my heart at 17, and I’ve spent the last 18 years hating him for it. He makes it easy, with his smart mouth and playboy lifestyle - which I unfortunately have to observe since he lives behind me. Every time I see him climbing out of his pool, practically naked and unreasonably sexy, my blood boils. I’ve always loved to loathe him. I never planned to need him.

This is an amazing story. Ian had let London go in the past so as not to ruin her future. Will he do it again? Will she forgive him for doing it the first time when she finds out? These two have acted like they hate each other since their first attempt failed, but when Ian's sister and her husband pass away unexpectedly leaving him custody of their children Ian and London pretty much have to work together for the kids

This story was everything. Heart breaking at times, hilarious at others, and over whelmingly touching at others. The narration was perfect.

She's not a quiet librarian. My landlord is infuriating. He's uptight and rigid, right down to those dress shirts that do nothing to hide the muscle underneath. Sure, I never read the tenant's agreement. I have now. In fact, I've memorized it and I'm going to use it to my advantage while staying within the bounds of my contract. Is it my fault that those little decorative touches drive Charlie nuts? And who can resist purchasing a few vulgar gnomes to enhance the landscape?

It was a big lie. The biggest lie she’d ever told. It reverberated through her head as she said it, ringing eerily. “Are you in love with Noah, Mercedes?” Cora asked. “I mean...I know you love him. You’ve been friends forever. We all have. But are you in love with him?” If it had been anyone else - anyone - Mercedes would have stuck out her chest, folded her skinny arms, and let her feelings be known. She would have claimed him. But it was Cora. Brave, beautiful, broken Cora, and Cora loved Noah too. So Mercedes lied. And with that lie, she lost him. This is the tale of the girl who didn’t get the guy.

I won my first fight when I was 11 years old, and I've been throwing punches ever since. Fighting is the purest, truest, most elemental thing there is. Some people describe heaven as a sea of unending white, where choirs sing and loved ones await. But for me, heaven was something else. It sounded like the bell at the beginning of a round, and it tasted like adrenaline. For me, heaven was the octagon. Until I met Millie, and heaven became something different. I became something different.
