Carnage is a Gargoyle. He's also volatile, dangerous, unpredictable, and lonely. One evening minding his own business at the edge of the sanctuary he calls home, he spies a female. A human female, and she's running headlong into his swamps, with no regard for her own safety. Then he sees the reason; three men, and they're hot on her trail, torches in hand, hell bent on catching her before she can get away.

I have seen this book on Kindle for so long now and every time it would come up in my recommended I would look at a couple reviews and it always intrigued me. I also attempted...every single time to type the title into Audible search after reading the reviews and was disappointed every time. I reallllly hoped Sandra R. Neeley was not one of the authors that wouldn't make her books available in audio format.
When I saw Carnage come up on my AUDIBLE recommended list I was thrilled and began listening immediately. This book didn't let me down. It was well worth the wait. Although I wish I didn't have to! :o
I love the characters. I love Carnage, Enthrall, and Destroy. I can't wait for book 2...I think it is Destroy. I don't want to give spoilers but will say this is, of course, a supernatural type of story but it is different than so many others. Sometimes I feel like everything is starting to sound the same. This book is a breath of fresh air!

I wanted to love this. The style reminds me of Galeforce and I am sure many people really love this type of audiobook. He did a decent job with the narration but it is the type of book that doesn't seem to be for the purpose of a story at all. To me, the sole purpose is to get the reader off. It is basically listening to porn instead of watching. Again, there is nothing wrong with the audiobook itself. It is just not my type, even though I am sure many people love it.

I read book 1 on a different account and purchased this one much later. I let book 1 sit for a long time. When I finally began listening to it, I couldn't get enough. It was very entertaining and drew me in from the beginning. Book 2 is no exception. I love all the guys. It is really great because they are all so different in their own ways. Many times in the RH genre I start to feel like there is no difference between the characters. I find it very refreshing that there is such a contrast between each personality...including Lera. We learn a lot more about the guys histories in this book and I am excited to see the quint magic and relationship develop as we continue on. The narration was fantastic. It is interesting though...I listened to a book narrated by Victoria a while back and it doesn't even compare to the narration in the Power of Five series. I am amazed at the improvement to her performance here. She reads several main characters (all have distinct voices) and when she switches I can immediately tell the difference between who is talking. All in all, I cannot say this is the greatest series I have ever read/listened to. I can very confidently say this is a fabulous series and book, thus far, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in the fantasy and/or RH genre. It is absolutely worth the credit and I can't wait to jump into the rest of the series now!

To date, I have never loved a series more than ACOTAR. I will say I feel sad that the movie seems to not be making progress thus far and I also haven't seen any recent progress on the spin off series. I am excited to check out the upcoming Crescent City book of course but was really under the impression that the Prythian stuff was not over despite Rhys and Feyre having their happy ending.
This book was amazing of course. I will say that ACOMAF was my favorite but this was great and I was happy with the way it ended. I believe I would have liked this one more if it would have been read by Jennifer Ikeda like the rest. She did such a great job with the characters.
I wish the series would never end. That is my real bottom line. I don't want it to end.

I loved this much more than I thought I would. The character development really helped the story to evolve perfectly. I truly hope to read much more by Michael Lynes asap! Also the narration was good as well. Sometimes I can't get into a story for no reason other than the narration runs it but this flowed seamlessly and I really enjoyed it. Pretty suspenseful. Kept me interested and all in all a great book.

It is dramatic, suspenseful, romantic, and scary all at the same time. Please, do yourself a favor...if you are into paranormal and/or end of the worldy, sci/fi, fantasyish type of books...don't walk but run and get yourself a copy of this book. I prefer audio but read it or listen to it...either way, it is a really great series.

Reading this book provides some great insight to the meaning of the "fantasy" and "paranormal" genres. It was definitely an adventure from start to finish. I have read a lot of books and this one took some creativity to actually develop into the story. The character development was decent and I believe would have been more descriptive if the book was longer. I will check out more books by these authors in the future. The narrator was okay. I thought the range of voices he was able to do was a plus. However, I had a hard time listening to the voice for Diego. It sounded pretty rehearsed and a little phony. I really liked the voice of Satan though. All in all, it was a decent quick listen...and pretty entertaining. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is my favorite genre but sometimes it is difficult to find a really good romance involving other planets/aliens/paranormal stuff. This book is great. I love that the background and story build up are a bit different than so many of the other stories like this. The narration was exceptional as well. I can't wait for the next one!
