These books are great. They have a well developed story. It’s captivating from the beginning and keeps your interest all the way through the end. I love that they end with no cliffhangers.

The narrator does an exceptional job representing the different characters and somehow adds to the “mood” of the whole story.

She’s the best baker in Bellmare, Massachusetts, and just wants to continue to lead a quiet life in the quaint and haunted tourist destination. Not even an elaborate, last-minute wedding cake commission - a multi-tiered fondant replica of Dracula’s castle - could be a stake in her side. But when the bride turns up dead hours before the wedding, Priscilla and her pastries are the first to be suspected. The third book is different from the first two in the series. The first two have a lighter, funnier story. The third is more serious. They are well narrated and interesting stories in all.

I liked the trilogy but enjoyed the first two better.

As the skies turn red over Los Angeles, Jack the Ripper roams once more. Saucy Jack is back, and women are dying. Caught up in the case, artist Lizzie Stride, whose custom masks are being used in the Ripper murders, is haunted by dreams of the crimes. And even more disturbing? Her name is identical to a victim from 1888. J. R. Damien, a newspaper reporter, is likewise haunted by dreams of the murders, dreams vivid with details only the Ripper could know. Details that later prove true. When he meets Lizzie, he knows something else only the real Ripper would know-she's the next victim. Or will be if he doesn't stop Jack, even if that means stopping himself.

It was only supposed to be a game. In a boring suburb, three lonely men seeking distractions from their monotonous routines get together in an abandoned house to play a macabre game of show-and-tell. Nothing is off-limits in their little circle - anything, no matter how depraved, is welcome...so long as it's frightening. But when one member brings what sounds like an audio recording of an actual murder to a meeting, featuring the tortured screams and pleas of an anonymous woman, the jaded club members find themselves truly rattled.
