I enjoyed the part of this book that took kids having a hard time finding joy for Christmas due to there specific situations
1) death of a parent
2) family being unable to attend
3)divorce
4) a move to a new town
I love when stories include things that kids often feel they are the only one who feels this way and shows others do too. My kids enjoyed listening and Tinsel did offer kids some solutions they can do on there own to fix holiday blues but the narrators overly slow pronunciation of his words I found to be bothersome.

Just as merchant's daughter Felicity Mayson is spurned once again because of her meager dowry, she receives an unexpected invitation to Lady Blackstone's country home. Being introduced to the wealthy Oliver Ratley is an admitted delight, as is his rather heedless yet inviting proposal of marriage. Only when another of Lady Blackstone's handsome guests catches Felicity's attention does she realize that nothing is what it seems at Doverton Hall.

After having listened to all three books I can honestly say the story and the characters in this book were fantastic. The story has a good pace and is well developed. I think the narrator did a great job on this book. On the two previous books it had taken me some time to get use to her and enjoy her performance, especially her male voices. However, this book was quite different and I thought her performance and her ability to stay in role for each character was excellent! Great Job and a good clean listen to all those who enjoy a adventurous romantic read!

He even took one of his dogs with him when he went to lead America's army against the British in the Revolutionary War. And when George discovered a lost dog after a great battle and learned who the owner was, what he did surprised and delighted people all over the world.

Kuplink, kuplank, kuplunk go the blueberries into the pail of a little girl named Sal who - try as she might - just can't seem to pick as fast as she eats. Robert McCloskey's classic is a magical tale of the irrepressible curiosity - not to mention appetite - of youth. Sal and her mother set off in search of blueberries for the winter at the same time as a mother bear and her cub. A quiet comedy of errors ensues when the young ones wander off and absentmindedly trail the wrong mothers.

All the while, she fights against her cruel uncle who has taken over the land that is rightfully hers. Forced to live in the woods and hide with the poor people she's grown to love, she works to save and protect them, but she never anticipates falling in love with the wealthy knight who represents all she's come to despise.

This is a great story! Very well written, enjoyable, adventurous, clean! I was able to listen to this story with my daughter who is 10. It is a female Robin Hood type story that is so fun to listen to. The plot had many unexpected twist and turns with a ending that was so beautiful and worth waiting for!

My only negative would be that the book is not read with an accent that is fitting to the time and location.
The narrator does a nice job, has a pleasant voice, but it is sometimes hard to realize when she has switched from one main character to the other.

Loved The Characters! This is a great read, lots of noble and honorable characters!

From everyone's favorite fancy girl comes an alphabetical guide to enhancing vocabulary. Why say beautiful when there are fancy words like gorgeous and glamorous? Instead of hello, try bonjour, which is French and so much fancier. An umbrella will keep you dry, but a parasol will make you feel like a Hollywood movie star!
