Paint a mural. Start a battle. Change the world. Sierra Santiago planned an easy summer of making art and hanging out with her friends. But then a corpse crashes the first party of the season. Her strokeridden grandfather starts apologizing over and over. And when the murals in her neighborhood begin to weep real tears... Well, something more sinister than the usual Brooklyn ruckus is going on.

This book ensnared me, and held my attention from beginning to end. Ms. Rose did an amazing job as narrator - definitely a new favorite.

A delightful novel about "how girls catch husbands." Listen in to find out: What will happen to sister Lydia? Will the arrogant Lady Catherine de Burgh's intrigues be foiled? Will sister Jane marry Mr. Bingley? And especially, will Elizabeth, cured of her prejudice, and Mr. Darcy, cured of his pride, fall into each other's arms? Listeners will also savor the wit, the sly irony and satire and comedy that Miss Austen crowds into almost every quiet, well-bred line of this novel.

This is my favorite book, written by my favorite author. And, I have to admit that I find that I am often critical of any attempts at bringing this story to life in any form other than print. I was extremely pleased with the narration provided by Sharon Williams - so much so, that I find myself listening to this book as often as I take out my printed copy, or watch the 1996 series starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. It's my go to comfort story. It's nice to have access to the full version that the series does not provide when my eyes aren't being cooperative, but I'm still able to escape and enjoy time spent with Miss Bennet and Mr. Darcy.
