The characters, human and animal alike capture you almost immediately in this charming book about humans and their pets. Although there were some errors about greyhounds...I've been told that greyhounds do not get "rescued" they get "adopted" a friend of mine was actually insulted that the author used the wrong pretense (she owns 2 greyhounds).

After being fired and being ditched by her boyfriend Kyla moves back home but in order for her to get out of her parents home she needs a job & takes the only job available, Pet Reporter. Although it is below Kyla's status, she takes the job and is determined to become the best Pet Reporter she can be, unfortunately on her first assignment she finds a dead body and the adventure begins.

I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Happy Reading.

I listened to this book, but realized that I really can't do much of a review. I have not read any of the other books in this series, and found myself a little confused at times.
I will be starting from the beginning & then will leave a proper review.

I truly enjoyed this book. Although once Annie started having more to do with Jenny, to me it became kind of obvious that the author was leaning towards Jenny being Annie's mom, so that part became a little predictable. I would've liked to have heard more about how & where the "adoptive" parents found these people and I honestly thought that Annie would've been much more bitter than she actually was.
In the end I'm glad that everyone finds a happy ending.

I also think that the author deserves a shout out for adding all the information at the end of the book about child abduction along with numbers to be able to contact someone if you know of anyone that might be in need of the information.

As a new reader/listener to this genre, I loved the storyline. Virtual Reality seems fascinating to me and I would think that if you are already a fan of the genre, you would love these books.
I actually started this series with book 6 as a free copy and the author was gracious enough to provide me with the beginning! I can't thank her enough! I decided to wait with reviewing #6 until I've read the others.
I know someone who will love these books & I will be passing this author's name along.
Now on to book 4!

I understand this is the second book in a series. I have not read/listened to the first book but I found the book fairly easy to follow so I'm not sure if you need to read them in order or not, although I'm sure it would give a little more of a back story to the main characters.

I found the "mystery" easy to follow, a little predictable and unrealistic at times, but hey books are supposed to take you away from real life so sometimes unrealistic is a good thing.

I found the narration to be really good, although the accent was a little off for someone in Chicago.

I would like to read/listen to the first one to see if there was anything I missed, but I would continue to read/listen to the next one.

Thank you for the opportunity to listen to your book...it was enjoyable.

I absolutely loved this book and can not wait until the next installment!
Although the characters are all in their teens, this book is for adults & teens alike!
A witch (Jenny), a giant slayer (Jack), a shifter (Jessabelle) and a medium (Sean).
The story starts with Jenny who is devastated over the loss of her parents who have died in a car accident. Jenny is just about to graduate when her Aunt Hattie comes to help her make arrangements and to take Jenny back home with her to Blood Creek (Maple Bend). Jenny is then thrown into a mythical world that brings her to meet her new friends Jack, Jessabelle & Sean.
This story is about 4 teens that are coming of age and learning how their powers work.
The 4 teens are in a race against a powerful witch (Evelyn) to find the gate and to figure out how to make their way through said gate. Once they figure out how to get through the gate Jenny meets her grandmother who protects the gate on the other side. Where the battles continue.
I found the characters to be well thought out and intriguing as well as entertaining. Once I started listening to this book I didn't want to put it down!
Although there is no cliffhanger to speak of in this book, it definitely sets the story up for the next book.
I can't wait to continue on with the next book!
A must read!!

Again I am not usually into Historical/Regency novels but...WOW!
You really need to read the first book for this one to make much sense but believe me you won't disappointed by reading either book.
The book draws you in right away with the continuation of Adam & Daphne's volatile yet very...erotic relationship. This is not your typical love story, it starts out as revenge pure & simple and Adam figuring that it will be the ultimate revenge to send Daphne back home a fallen woman, but after their deal is up & he sends her home he realizes that he can't stop thinking about her, will he choose love over revenge? Of course he will!
I love that Daphne is a strong, independent woman, but even the most level headed female can & will fall for the bad boy.
I did a wtf moment when it came to Adam but...all turns out the way it should.

I would highly recommend!

PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY MY REVIEW. I promised to leave a review for a free copy of this book.

Let me start by saying this...be sure you start with book 1. I only have book 4 and by this time (if you had read the other books) I'm sure you would have a good handle on all the characters and would be able to connect with them.

The story is good but...lets just say I really need to read the previous books (although I would like to read further to know more too). Once I get the chance to read/listen to the previous books...I promise to re-write this review.

I don't know what I'm doing listening to all of these Christmas novels in the middle of a heat wave but...it was good. I have not read the first book, although this is easily a stand alone, I think it would've been beneficial to read/listen to book 1.

Maria is a sassy woman who runs a charity that provides food, medicine and toys to Syria.
Jarik is a man with an ego that needs to get to Syria - anonymously to testify against a former friend.

Although Maria is not impressed by his money & neither one of them is looking for any type of relationship (which means they will definitely be striking one up) she does have a plane that can get Jarik to Syria on time.
They strike up a deal that will help them both out but as all romance stories go, they end up with more than they bargained for and the fireworks fly!

Although I enjoyed the book & still wish I had read/listened to book 1 - this book could rub some woman the wrong way & wonder why Jarik wasn't charged with sexual harassment so if this type of scenario bothers your senses then you may want to find something different to read.
