What a beautiful journey she shares with us. From her childhood, her family, some tough times, some great memories. She shares personal/emotional details of her life with Prince while remaining respectful to their intimate details. Sharing the heartbreaking memories regarding the passing of her and Prince's son Ahmir . And also the second pregnancy and loss. It was clear that she loved him with all her heart and that he had loved her too. I think had Larry Graham not come into their lives, they might still be together and hat he may still be alive IMHO. I smiled, laughed, cried and was heartbroken hearing her story. I am grateful she shared it because I felt so close to Prince and imagined him so happy with a mischievous grin so many times, and imagined him very sad as well. And she's stayed very respectful to him and never trashed him. I highly recommend this audio book, I didn't want it to end.

In this book Jaycee Dugard describes the life she never thought she would live to see: from her first sight of her mother to her first time meeting her grownup sister, her first trip to the dentist to her daughters' first day of school, her first taste of champagne to her first hangover, her first time behind the wheel to her first speeding ticket, and her first dance at a friend's wedding to her first thoughts about the possibility of a future relationship.

This book was wonderful. She shares what it was like for her, her daughters and mother. Learning to trust again and learning to love the goodness after such pain. Thank you for allowing us to love you, Jaycee. I wish you love and happiness and I thank you for your honesty. Your book made me cry, smile, laugh and appreciate my life and freedom. :)

On June 5, 2002, 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart, the daughter of a close-knit Mormon family, was taken from her home in the middle of the night by religious fanatic, Brian David Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. She was kept chained, dressed in disguise, repeatedly raped, and told she and her family would be killed if she tried to escape. After her rescue on March 12, 2003, she rejoined her family and worked to pick up the pieces of her life.

Elizabeth narration is amazing. She didn't have to share her story and did so in a honest way. She shared a lot of detail and spared some other details that she was honest made her uncomfortable and I respect her for that. I'm so happy for her that she is free and has moved on and healed a little from what happened to her. I just want to hug her. I recommend this audio book.

I was excited to hear her story. She had a lot to say and she went through an incredible journey and she told more of the background that we didn't see on 16 & Pregnant and on Teen Mom. I think it's better to read the book instead of listening to it. She has a hard time reading properly and it's very distracting. She runs all the sentences together and it sounds awful and rushed. It was disappointing because I had heard the other moms and they sound great. But her narration sounds really bad. I commend her for the positive outcome and improvements she's made and thankful for sharing her story. She's just not a good reader. It's distracting and sometimes hard to listen to.

I was very sad for Leah and for all the children who's parents were brainwashed by Scientology. I believe Leah, she seems honest and admits to her faults and short comings. Great story. Wanted to hear more.
