Totally worth the wait!
I started not liking this series very much, but as time passed I liked more and more. I in fact didn’t like Aelin very much. I do like her now. Lol!!!!
But this book is amazing!!! It’s the most worth finish of a series that I read in many years. I think my love of Tower of Dawn as my favorite book of the series finally shifted for Kingdom of Ash.
I particularly liked the nod to one of my favorite character of the hole series: Sam.
I liked the nod to my favorite series of SJM: ACOTAR - it was a real pleasure to listen even briefly that she saw Rhys and Freyre (a pregnant one!!! :)) at the moment of her passing through so many worlds.
I did relisten all the series in preparation for this book and it’s amazing how some small details of every book is connected somehow! I want to relisten to KoA immediately!!! Lol!
I hope SJM continues to write in this world as she is continuing with ACOTAR.
I have many things I want to say, but I’m so full of feelings right now, that I can’t rightly express in words. I repeat: fantastic finish of a really good series that became better in each new book.

One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennett, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Every once in a while I reread this book. Usually once an year for the past 25 years... Since I was a teenager. And I’m always surprise how it makes me laugh. How it warms my heart. It’s a really delightful book. :)
This is not the best narration that I have of this book (I have a few lol), but it’s certainly one of the good ones. I’m really pleased with it.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the captain of the Guard. I have to confess that this book impressed me a lot!
I don't really care for the Throne of Glass series, mostly because I don't much like Aelin and Rowan.
Chaol let me disappointed before, but reading this book I totally get where he came from.
The journey that happened in this book both of him and Nesryn I really liked.
I really liked the new characters as well.
And I must say that I didn't guessed who was the one possessed by the Valg princess.
Besides the point that, as I said, I really don't like much ToG, I really loved this book. In fact, I dare to say that it's my favorite of all.
I must reread all of them now so I can appreciate more the other characters that were mentioned and already appeared in the other books.
Though I remember very well the part with Celaena and Yrene. I really liked Assassin's Blade as well. Mostly because of Sam. 😕
****
I reread all the Throne of Glass books and this one.
In a second reading my thoughts about this series are really improved. Of course there are faults within it. But I kinda understood Celaena/Aelin a bit more, despiste the fact that she continues to be really annoying.

It's my first time reading anything by Renée Ahdieh. And what a book!
I must say that I do love retelings, but until I knew about this book I never had seen Mulan, so I went to see it and I loved, of course!
This book delivered and I'm really excited to know what happens next.
In the beginning it was kinda difficult to read the names of people and things, so I bought the audiobook and began to read and listen at the same time. Much better! (Eventually I dumped the book, because I was practicing brush lettering 😂).
Anyway, I totally recommend this book. One of the best reads of this year! I'm on a good streak, thank God! 😃

What can I say?
I listened to the new version in audiobook.
Eddie Redmayne did a perfect job!
He is the perfect narrator for this audiobook and the special effects gave a little thing extra to the audiobook.
Despite being a really short book, you can listen/read in a couple of hours or less, it's totally worth the credit I payed on Audible to have it.
I just loved it!
I will relisten (and relisten it), but with the ebook or the book to follow along - so I can understand better the names of the different Fantastic Beasts.
I just loved it!!! And I can't stop saying it... Lol!!!

The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park's ice skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be. Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD, but never one like this. After reviewing security videos, it becomes clear that the victims were killed by a sniper firing a tactical laser rifle, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled.

Would you listen to Apprentice in Death again? Why?

Yes! Definitely!
Love all J. D. Robb books.
I'm always rereading them. Or relistening them... :)
This one particularly was a very good one!

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

As always she brings Eve and Roarke and all the characters to life. Love her perfomance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Loved when Eve decides to go back to Bella's party. And love the interaction between them. Although Bella is a little to inteligent for an one year old. I know because I have a high intelligent one year old nephew and he is not at all like Bella. But this is fiction, so, ok... Lol!

Any additional comments?

I love Nora Roberts books, but when she writes as J. D. Robb she really is in her best. Don't know why, but I simply love the stories of Eve, Roarke and company... <3
