A s each day passes the world tumbles further into depravity, bent and twisted by the new order, corrupted by the Usurper, the enemy, and his infernal horde. from the world the story takes place in to the protagonist and his companions, The Vagrant perks your interest from the begining and leaves you fulfilled and wanting more by the end. I have already picked up the Malace and am excited to begin eating that one up as well.

I originally read this book in high school, not knowing of any sequel at the time. As an adult I returned to Mercedes' tale and am pleased to find sequels. Moon Called has everything a fantasy should have, fun supporting characters with their own personalities, struggle, fast writing pace, and the originality of Mercedes who is able to stand her own ground.
Wonderfully done.

Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

Well it wasn't horrible. But if I where to summarize; it wasn't original, sort of boring, repetitive, predictable in some ways, and it felt as if they made everyone simple minded to glorify the protagonist. And the end? Talk about a Hallmark ending to a story that was trying its best to be gritty and dark.

Not horrible, but I was not impressed and let down from probably too high expectations.

With the failure of Hadley's Hope, Weyland-Yutani has suffered a devastating setback - the loss of the Aliens they aggressively sought to exploit. Yet there's a reason the Company has risen to the top of the food chain. True to form, they have a redundancy already in place: the facility known as "The Cold Forge". Remote station RB-232 has become their greatest asset in weaponizing the Xenomorphs. However, when Dorian Sudler is sent to RB-232 to assess their progress, he discovers that there's a spy aboard - someone who doesn't necessarily act in the company's best interests.

As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Was it super original? No. But it was entertaining; the music sound effects and voices where all spot on. The story was one of those simple ones that you read or listen to to enjoy the story and not mystery or depth.
I enjoyed listening and would recommend to others.
