Sometimes I take an opportunity to say good-bye to the cattle and wish them a safe journey. "Well, good-bye, you morons. It was nice having you here at the ranch, but it'll be even nicer having you gone. You ate all our grass and taking care of you was a pain in the neck. Good-bye, good riddance, and don't ever come back."

Unlike the missions Robie undertook in the service of his country, where his target was clearly defined, digging into his father's case only reveals more questions. Robie is drawn into the hidden underside of Cantrell, where he must face the unexpected and possibly deadly consequences of the long-ago choices made by father and son.

It was different from the other books. Wasn’t my cup of tea. I didn’t like the part about the children. It turned me off from the rest of the book.

A wonderful story. Very slow at the end. The imagery was so descriptive that at times it seemed like it took forever to get thru one scene. It has an Interesting take on the after life. Not sure I agree with the theology, but definitely a great story!

To much Cussing!!! It was so unnecessary. Just cussing for the sake of it. I don't think I'll be able to buy any more of her books for this reason.

The story was great tho. I did have a hard time "putting the book down".

The narrators were all great.
