What Is the Bible?
- How an Ancient Library of Poems, Letters, and Stories Can Transform the Way You Think and Feel About Everything
- By: Rob Bell
- Narrated by: Rob Bell
- Length: 6 hrs and 23 mins
In Love Wins, Rob Bell confronted the troubling questions that many people of faith are afraid to ask about heaven, hell, fate, and faith. Using the same inspired, inquisitive approach, he now turns to our most sacred book: the Bible. What Is the Bible? provides insights and answers that make clear why the Bible is so revered and what makes it truly inspiring and essential to our lives. Rob takes us deep into actual passages to reveal the humanity behind the Scriptures.

Reading the Bible again
Would you consider the audio edition of What Is the Bible? to be better than the print version?
This book was easy to listen to, the author is also a good oral reader. A regular book would make looking up scripture passages just a bit easier.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Which character – as performed by Rob Bell – was your favorite?
Rob read his own book, glad he did.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The story of the tower of Babel, and the aftermath. Rob makes more sense on this topic than I've heard in any sermon or homily.

There's more going on in the world than meets the eye. There is an unseen spiritual realm, and occasionally God allows us glimpses of it. The narrating killed it.
