Years ago, the skies ripped open and the world was destroyed in fire and ash. Dragons - once creatures of legend - are the enemy. Vicious and unpredictable, they rule the skies of the ruined cities, forcing humanity to huddle behind barricades for safety. Claudia's a survivor. She scrapes by as best as she can in a hard, dangerous world. When she runs afoul of the law, she's left as bait in dragon territory. She only has one chance to survive - to somehow tame a dragon and get it to obey her.

In exchange for a vial of dragon's blood to save her brother's life, Melanie Hall offers herself up as a sacrifice to one of the British dragon-shifter clans. Being a sacrifice means signing a contract to live with the dragon-shifters for six months to try to conceive a child. Her assigned dragonman, however, is anything but easy. He's tall, broody, and alpha to the core. There's only one problem - he hates humans.

If you could sum up Sacrificed to the Dragon in three words, what would they be?

Could not finish

Would you be willing to try another book from Jessie Donovan? Why or why not?

With another narrator probably

Would you be willing to try another one of Matthew Lloyd Davies’s performances?

Not no but hell no. Accent okay, however the production of this book is far from perfect. At times you could not hear the narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No Returning because of production problems and the narrator.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Moved slow, written poorly had a hard time following the rants of the writer. What did I like, absolutely nothing. Very predictable. Amateurish at best.

What could Robert Patrick Lewis have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The attempt to write an engaging survival story failed badly. Maybe it was the author's first attempt don't know but I read and listen daily to many authors. This was a waste of money which I will be requesting a refund.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Found nothing wrong with the narrator's performance. Easy to listen and enjoyed his presentation, just not the book

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Pact?

The author seems to be trying to hard, very predictable and the flow of the story line was taxing.

Any additional comments?

I would suggest buyers steer clear of this mess.
