The Scottish Prisoner.
Wonderful performances. Especially liked the characterizations of Jamie and Grey. Since I usually skim read I was struck anew with appreciation of the story. I found that I had missed nuances that enhanced the storyline while reading but they were very clear while listening. I have never been a fan of being read to, but I have changed my mind and will be listening with pleasure to the rest of the Gabaldon opus.

Sam Heughan Narrates
I knew I would buy this just because Sam was the narrator. I wasn't at all familiar with the author or her series and normally wouldn't have listened to this mini book.
However, despite sounding a tiny bit like Peter Lorre when reading the American voices, Sam's performance was great. In spite of myself I became interested in the actual story. Not sure that I would read any further but I can confidently say that if Sam is narrating, I would buy with pleasure.
