Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

My ten year-old boy and nine year-old girl absolutely loved this audiobook so much we had to give it five stars. The story is quite good! I could not press the pause button without groans from both of them. I will also admit that I looked forward to it nearly as much as they did. It's not too dark and has a happy end with only a mild cliffhanger. We will be ordering book 2!

Nancy Drew is always refreshing and gives a chance to share with my young children what it was like before cell phones! We love the voice of the narrator and the expression she uses with the different characters. We enjoy the certain happy endings and excitement of the story lines.

Meet the boy who can talk to animals and the man who can see with his eyes closed. And find out about the treasure buried deep underground. A clever mix of fact and fiction, this collection also includes how master storyteller Roald Dahl became a writer. With Roald Dahl, you can never be sure where reality ends and fantasy begins.

The Swan is the most disturbing "children" story that I have ever heard. Two horrible boys torture a boy and mutilate a beautiful swan. I am blown away that this book received so many good reviews. There is not even a good ending. I kept listening hoping there would be some resolution. None! This is not the type of book I would describe as entertaining in any way. I found it very disturbing to say the least. It is a shame that this collection is ruined by such a hideous story. I will not listen to the rest of this book as I am afraid of what is next. The first two stories were a four out of five. Don't waste your money or time.

Listened to this with my eight-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter. They both love the book. I thought the presentation was great. The narrator really knew how to change voices well and the added music here and there was enjoyable. Of course, the mystery of the Hardy boys is always a great story.

My eight-year-old boy and aseven-year-old girl and I enjoyed listening to this while driving. It is fun to listen to a story without cell phones and all of the electronic media we currently have. Nancy Drew was a favorite of mine as a child and is now for my own children. The reading performance was excellent and we enjoyed the suspenseful music added here and there. We will definitely listen to the next one in the series.
