Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye. When he showed up out of the blue 10 years later, I should have known to steer clear. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex's wedding and told him he was crazy when he suggested we act like a couple to show my ex, it's true, I could do better than him.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know because from the comments, a ridiculous amount of people loved it! I went into the story with excitement and high expectations. Maybe that is why it's such a let down.

What could K. Bromberg have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I don't think there is something the author could do to this book to change my mind. It would be a completely different book.

What does Andi Arndt and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Their narration is the only reason I was able to finish the book. They are amazing.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I love a happy ending...

Any additional comments?

It was very hard to have patience with the main characters and the situations they put themselves in. The story tried to be charming but it fell short most of the time. There was an unnecessary amount of things that happened to the main character that are never explained or the author just puts out there but never addresses them. The ridiculous mood swings from the main character gave me whiplash and I to stop listening at several points in the story to be able to continue. I don't mean for this review to be harsh and I got this book expecting to love it. So much potential.

If you could sum up Yes Please in three words, what would they be?

wittingly touching and funny

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

I loved that she brought so many interesting people to help her read and they all did amazing on their bits but there is nothing compared to when an author reads their own book. She knew how she wanted her words delivered and you couldn't help but laugh along with her in certain parts.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I planned on listening to this book throughout the rest of my week instead, I finished listening to the book in one day! I wanted it to continue on and to listen to more of her story. Time just flew by.

Any additional comments?

Amy is so honest and delightful in this book that it's hard not to fall even more in love with her. She's extremely witty, hysterical and just captures the listener. I learned a lot about myself listening to this book and made me realize a lot too, not only about myself but the people around me. I have always admired her for her dedication, hard work and amazing talent but listening to this made me aware of the struggles that she has had to deal with to get to where she is and made her more relatable. I would buy this book again and again.
