Enjoyable YA story about the problems all teenagers face~low self esteem, bullies, young love etc. Jolia's problems began with braces and were eventually resolved with the help of Sam. Loved the characters and believe this would be a wonderful story for high school students to read and discuss as all young people go through some insecurities as they mature. Very interesting listen and great narration.

Interesting mystery with well developed characters. I really liked Valentine and Jake. Enjoyed the humorous banter between the two main characters, comments about Jake's mother, no calorie food references and Houdini. Usually do not enjoy paranormal but it worked well in this story. Several murders, many twists, satisfying ending and good narration.

I feel Janet Walsh's story got somewhat lost in all of the scientific DNA explanations. Thankfully though, DNA allowed the 34 year old cold case to be solved~sadly by the time the perpetrator was convicted, Janet's younger brother was the only survivor of her family.

WOW, what a GREAT listen! Saying it is her best yet is something because I absolutely love GRANT COUNTY and WILL TRENT but PRETTY GIRLS is just amazing. It is a thriller, it is graphic, but most of all it is the story of a family whose eldest daughter, Julia, disappeared years ago. The two younger sisters, Lydia and Claire, are such strong women despite their flaws and chapters told by Julia's father are both beautiful and heartbreaking.
Narration by Kathleen Early is stellar.

Interesting listen~quite different. Tony and Cam are likable characters, Rose not so much~no amount of money or possessions would ever make her happy. I enjoyed the story and the narration. Unexpected twist with "Bia" and the family living "happily ever after".

Could not stop listening to this story. Lifelong abuse and the consequences~no one wins. Sam Hugh and Linda's lives were truly heartbreaking. No words can express my dislike for Howard~IMHO, a truly evil human being. The narration by Kevin Pierce is amazing. Am grateful for the epilogue which in a small way gives hope to an otherwise devastating situation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Was looking forward to catching up with Mary and David but was disappointed that they did not seem like the same characters from YOUNG LOVE LOST. David was having a hard time and Mary's attitude annoyed me at times. Personally, I did not care for the Wicca theme throughout and the mystery ended rather unbelievably but the epilogue was good.

Fascinating from beginning to end, very well written, great narration, and a close look at "pure evil". Rick DeCaro, an obvious psychopath, ruins countless lives to satisfy his selfish needs. Thankfully, the Van Isaghems banded together to obtain justice. Melanie was my hero~what a strong woman~she (and the entire family) refused to give up and spent four years fighting for Liz. The four children made me so sad. DeCaro certainly deserved his sentence!

Though the 3rd in the series, this works well as a standalone (I do intend to read/listen to the first two). Likable and well developed characters~especially Kate and Michael. Though a serious story of the murders of two young girls, Fay and Max provided several light moments. An enjoyable listen, good narration, some unexpected twists, and a satisfying ending.
