The brilliance and complexity of the writing left me breathless. Intricate detail interwoven with a gripping story makes for a great read. But, the complexity of the story and the noir-ish interpretation just isn't my preference. Will Patton was phenomenal and he really "gets" this genre. If you are a Phillip Marlow fan - this series is for you.
