If you can count on one thing from "Madea" Mabel Simmons, star of Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Madea's Family Reunion, it's that she's got something to say. She's the beloved, hilarious, sharp-witted, pistol-packing grandmother who's watching out and speaking her mind. Now Madea is telling her own story, dishing her memoirs and hard-won, hilarious wisdom in her own inimitable voice (with a little help from her friend Tyler Perry).

True Prep is a contemporary look at how the old guard of natural-fiber-loving, dog-worshipping, G&T-soaked preppies adapt to the new order of things. Birnbach considers the prep attitude towards money (ambivalent), schools (good investment), wardrobe (now your clothes fit), work (some careers will never be prep), decorating (ask mummy), scandal (including rehab and prison), and food and drink (with some classic recipes for both).

Wow! Since listening to the first book I was hooked. Towards the end of this book I thought that they might not make it but I probably saw the ending coming. I really enjoyed it and it's what I expected because the story line was so juicy and romantic and of course a little scandal. The narrator was very helpful in keeping me hooked with the way she acted out the voices. Love this series! My most memorable moment is when she gives her jewels that Maxim gave to her to the guy who was going to serve life and she told the guy to pay for what he did by handing the jewels to Maxims dad in public where everyone could see. Yes you go girl America!!

The selection began with 35 girls. Now, with the group narrowed down to the Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon's love is fiercer than ever. The closer America gets to the crown, the more she struggles to figure out where her heart truly lies. Each moment she spends with Maxon is like a fairy tale, filled with breathless, glittering romance. But whenever she sees her first love, Aspen, standing guard, she's swept up in longing for the life they'd planned to share.
