Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone, it is read, not given characterization, but the readers voice is quite calm and soothing. Voices would have been way too hard, due to the ethnicity of many participants.i

Who was your favorite character and why?

I would have to say Helen, although the story tends to focus on her in the book. In actually, there were a few people with whom were standouts.

Did Kirsten Potter do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I don't feel she did any characterization, just read, not giving emotion to anyone, but in your minds eye, you could see and feel the differences.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I wasn't pleased with the way the book ended. When the prisoners are being released, you had hope that the Vietnamese man, whom was already in the states, safe, he chose to go to Cambodia to get Helen out safely, if possible. I guess I wanted a good ending, not just ended.

Any additional comments?

I will re-use to this more than once. The title was a tad misleading, but the book was meaty and gave a full measure.

Would you listen to Luke: Complete Series again? Why?

Yes, and I plan on revisiting this book many times.

What other book might you compare Luke: Complete Series to and why?

Not sure I have heard a book like this before. There are designated chapters, yet at times, the narrators re-number them, for reasons unknown. Evidently, this was originally novellas, presented as singular episodes, brought together into one.

What about Lee Samuels and Kirsten Leigh ’s performance did you like?

Both portrayed each character quite well; however, Kirsten's voice was the predominant one. Lee might have needed to put more expression into the words. Even when the nanny and male child get lost, there is little emoticon on either side. Kind of like taking Xanax, very mellow.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The best part for me was Briana sneaking into the software promotion and seeing Luke kissing the new "arm candy". I loved her reaction and how he made everything okay for his true love. Just great.

Any additional comments?

I am not recalling any BIG four letter words; in fact, I don't recall anything that wouldn't be appropriate, unless the word "orgasm" is offensive. This book was a needle in the haystack find, and I am glad to have it in my library.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I don't believe I would recommend this book to anyone. Evidently, it is a story told by a very learned surgeon, who has advanced stages of Alzheimer's disease. It drags you down and at the end, I was just glad her faculties were diminished.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Her husband is dead and she confuses her son as him. From the way it is read to you, you rotate thinking perhaps she has two sons and one daughter. I finally surmised there was one son, and the daughter. It seems her family and friends are trying to fleece her. I remained confused about who killed the neighbor and who stole the statue. So many questions that they try to tie up at the very end.

What aspect of Jean Reed Bahle’s performance would you have changed?

This book reminded me of an old movie, called THE SNAKE PIT. There are times the lady is lucid, but most of the book talks about her confusion and trying to figure out who th ed people that visit her are. So much internal.dialogue that it seems to run together. I know if I become like this lady, take me out, someway. No way to live.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

She just reread the story. There was no voice inflections or changes, to differentiate each person. I am used to characterization, not monotone reading, and she seemed hurried to get it done, quickly.

Any additional comments?

I thought the book would focus more on her life and the progression of her mental state. It was a jumbled mess with everybody wanting her institualized. I can relate to the situation, as my daughter was going to get guardianship over me, and stick me in a care facility. My problem was and is falling. But, with more individuality, it might have come across better.

What disappointed you about Naked Lunch?

I. was not able to complete the book. I was confused from the first. I didn't see it had a topic to build on..I think it was a bunch of minute topics that were trying to be elaborated on.

What was most disappointing about William S. Burroughs’s story?

I didn't see that it was a story. As stated, it felt like it was blurbs being elaborated on..

What didn’t you like about Mark Bramhall’s performance?

He seemed to be rather flat and hurried. Perhaps he was confused and found very little substance or interest.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Naked Lunch?

I wouldn't have even accepted the book in the first place.

This duo will be revisited again and again. Wonderfully written story that moves along much faster than you want it to. I have purchased some clunker books, but these two are winners.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tenley was perhaps my favorite, as she hss been through so much and has remained true to.herself, even though much of the time shepaints herself not worthy of happiness.

What about Elizabeth Louise and Jason Carpenter ’s performance did you like?

I really enjoy books that are portrayed by a male and female. It makes the listener feel as though they are experiencing each character as a whole. They worked well together, although the male reader often struggled with voive inflections.I

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to the book in one sitting. Beginning as soon as I finished the first book.

Any additional comments?

As in many books these days the language is a bit street talk, and not pristine, nor are some of the choices they have made. Great story where two basket cases have come through hell and back, found each other, and you have to cheer them on.

What made the experience of listening to Found in You the most enjoyable?

The fact the characters are the same and the wealthy dysfunctional families stay pretty true to form. I don't see Hudson to be so giving to cover for his dad, or why he views the event as his fault.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Found in You?

Can't give one, there were so many, and each made you proud to see the characters changing, even in minute ways.

Which character – as performed by Carly Robins – was your favorite?

All, except Celie and her other villain counterpart. Jack was a great play, Sophia, not so much. Again, dysfunctional families of wealth.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Very much so. It was hard to go to sleep without finishing.

Amazed at all of the evil tricks that were thought up, in each book, not just one. Great villains, but even better with the love interest and the changes going on.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This trilogy was interesting from book one through the additional HUDSON. They used more street language instead of the upper crust, expected language. This added an extra humor to the book.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that all of the ducks got into the row at the end and karma was swiftly given, though money helped it along.

What does Carly Robins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am more able to visualize the characters in the books. The story comes more to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The situations were funny, where they were supposed to be, and serious, when needed to be. It is funny to see so many wealthy people indulging in such low brow (get even) with others, to sway the man.

Any additional comments?

Am not into sequels or cliffhanger books, but with these, the urgency was in me to follow each as written. So much dysfunctional rich families.

Hudson Pierce has led a life few others could even imagine. With money and power at his fingertips, he's wanted for almost nothing. He's never experienced love, however, and he's seen few examples of it in his dysfunctional family. The ridiculous notion of romance has always intrigued him. He's studied it, controlled it, manipulated it, and has yet to understand it. Until he meets Alayna Withers. Now, the games he's played in his quest for comprehension can finally come to an end.

This book rounds out the trilogy, read last of course. Always interested in hearing the story from the other side.... inner dialog, so to speak. I really wish Hudson hadn't been such a player, but then I don't think the trilogy would be as interesting.

What other book might you compare Hudson to and why?

I can't remember the series, but do remember that there was another book, male points of view, which tended to complete the series.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked the dialogue, but was NOT impressed with the reader.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I smiled when he admitted his flaws in character. Hard for any man to do, lol.

I don't know when the millionaires were drop kicked in favor of the billionaires. As a general rule, I do not like cliffhanger books, but (I have gotten to where I make sure all are available), before I take the plunge, so to speak. This set, including HUDSON, were well worth buying extra credits in order to make sure it flowed..

No clue, I haven't read the books. I only go to the books if I want to clarify a certain scene, wording, or to make sure I heard what I THOUGHT it said.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

This would have been better if it was made into a complete book. The story doesn't quite seem complete... I wish they had ended with chaos or happy ever after. This book is from the daughters point of view, and honestly didn't live up to the expectations.

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't give a good answer. There wasn't much of a focus for the novella, just a filler to give more information.
