Good information, well written. Narration is pleasant and not distracting. I like that the author is clear about which parts are more speculative compared to which are more established.

Great urban fantasy. Reminds me of the Dresden Files. I was really happy with it, though if you are looking for romance, this series is very much in the slow burn category. I appreciate that, but not everyone might .

Lots of interesting ideas and a fresh perspective in what is otherwise a very predictable, run of the mill kind of fantasy. The set up for book two is a lot more exciting than the end of this story. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

The narration is pretty good.

What did you love best about The Foster Family?

The characters and relationships were all portrayed in a very realistic way, in fact, so much so that I would say this reads much more like literary fiction with sexy bits than the romance I was expecting. That might not be everyone's cup of tea, but to me, it was a very good thing.

What about Greg Tremblay’s performance did you like?

Captures the emotional content of the story without being at all over done. The voices of all the main characters felt very real and distinct. One of the best audio performances I've encountered to date.
