Power is changing. Private corner offices and management by decree are out, as is unquestioned trust in the government and media. These former pillars of traditional power have been replaced by networks of informed citizens who collectively wield more power over their personal lives, employers, and worlds than ever before. So how do you navigate this new landscape and come out on top?  Adam Grant, Wharton organizational psychologist, went to the World Economic Forum in Davos, the epicenter of power, and sat down with thought leaders from around the world, to find out.

author has extremely annoying voice, wish they had hired someone with better skill at voice recording. during interviews of leaders they bounced around from location to location which is understandable because if the nature of the material, but then it also sounds like he's recording in multiple locations during the narrative portion as well. music in background sometimes sounds very doom and gloom, despite the information given. honestly this should be considered a podcast put together by a novice rather than an "audiobook" by Audible.

Life often looks so very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a moment, but others shatter us completely. We feel disappointed and disillusioned, and we quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness. Lysa TerKeurst understands this deeply. But she's also discovered that our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God. In It's Not Supposed to Be This Way, Lysa invites us into her own journey of faith.

If you're hurting, you need to read this book. Lysa does an incredible job of sharing her vulnerability while walking with Christ, giving you permission to do the same and get closer to Him in the process. Will you be healed by the end of the book? Maybe. But will you be impacted for the better? Definitely. Giving this to every woman (and man) I know that has been going through a tough season in life.

Mindset is one of those rare audio books that can help you make positive changes in your life and at the same time see the world in a new way. A leading expert in motivation and personality psychology, Carol Dweck has discovered in more than 20 years of research that our mindset is not a minor personality quirk: it creates our whole mental world. It explains how we become optimistic or pessimistic. It shapes our goals, our attitude toward work, and ultimately predicts whether or not we will fulfull our potential.
