Koren Bladewell now knows he is a wizard, but he is lost in the wilderness, cut off from help, and unable to use his powers. The enemy is poised at the border with an overwhelming invasion force, and it will take wizards, soldiers and a young, untested princess to hold off defeat long enough for Koren to be trained and grow into his power. But he might not wish to help those who deceived him and destroyed his life.

I liked the the series very much and The author obviously had fun writing it.

I disagree with a lot of the other posts about the ending and think it wraps up quite well.

The Wizard's Council of Tarador was supposed to tell young Koren Bladewell that he is a wizard. They were supposed to tell everyone that he is not a jinx, that all the bad things that happen around him are because he can't control the power inside him, power he doesn't know about. The people of his village, even his parents, are afraid of him, afraid he is cursed. That he is a dangerous, evil jinx.

I wasn’t sure where this was going to go, but I’ve loved the journey the book has taken me in.

If you were a fan of the TV Series Merlin, you might see some similarities.

Highly recommend this book!

Find the missing. Fear the found. Three months have passed since the aliens' arrival, but little has changed in the skies. Motherships still hover, impervious to attack and communication. Spherical shuttles ferry about with unclear intentions. But the abductions of select humans have ended, and most of those taken have been returned - dazed, incoherent, and prophesying glory or doom, but home where they belong. Still, nine seemingly unconnected people remain missing.

NASA doesn't even bother to deny the alien ships' existence. The popular Astral space app (broadcasting from the far side of the moon and accessible by anyone with Internet) has already shown the populace what is coming.

I’m so glad I got turned onto this series. It’s been great following along with the merry band of pirates as they make their way across the universe and and having to deal with all the trials and tribulations along the way.

They have definitely seen a lot of action over the last 4 books.

And I have to say, R.C. Bray does a phenomenal job as well. If you’re reading this review and haven’t heard of him, get ready to get sucked into even more books outside of this series.

He’s got a great voice!

Dislikes:
First... Didn’t like the fact so much time was taken to get to what happened at end of Book 1.

Second... Jumped too far ahead in time without the back story to support it.

Likes:
Voice actors did a good job, crossing characters. However, the voice of Luca trying to do the voice of Bericio... that’s an injustice.

Loved the ending and hopefully what it’s setting up for next one.

Will probably get the next one, although I’m not very eager to start it.
