I used to work for the Telepath’s Guild before they kicked me out for a drug habit that wasn’t entirely my fault. Now I work for the cops, helping Homicide Detective Isabella Cherabino put killers behind bars. My ability to get inside the twisted minds of suspects makes me the best interrogator in the department. But the normals keep me on a short leash. When the Tech Wars ripped the world apart, the Guild stepped up to save it. But they had to get scary to do it - real scary.

Bought this book most of all because of the narrator. Daniel May narrated the Foreigner series, an absolute favorite, so magnificently! ! I wanted more, and the story sounded interesting.
I'm very happy I did. The narration is absolutely fantastic, more than you could hope for, and the story is great. Characters that you end up caring for and interesting detective work with very good Sci-Fi. Bought the second book before I had finished the first.
Now the only drawback is waiting for the next book!! And for more series narrated by Daniel May!!

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

In my view one of the greatest Sci-Fi classics of all time. A complex story (and series) that's incredibly well written. Truly magnificent!!
A war of intrigue and open battle between noble houses in an empire that expands the galaxy. A mythic and philosophical journey to change human kind. The development of a young man with abilities that take him further and set him apart at the same time. A world beyond your imagination. A Masterpiece!!

This Series in very entertaining, the narration is very nicely done. A good listen with great space battles and good character development. I've listened to the complete series and the spin-offs and the time flew by. The humor in it is very well done as well. The story is not very deep, or philosophical, just great fun with likable characters. very enjoyable.

This Series is amazing!
I've already reviewed previous books in it and as the series progresses it just keeps getting better. But I wanted here to emphasize the marvelous job the narrator has done.
The voices of the characters are perfectly conceived and delivered. The pace is exactly what the story requires at any given time and he truly takes you into the mind of the main character. The tone is precisely what the action demands. I would live to buy more books narrated by him!
An absolute magnificent combination of writing and narration!!!

I have the entire Darkover Series and have read it frequently, one of my favorites!!! I'm so happy to see the Sword of Aldones' audiobook out. I just hope is the first of the series and the rest is coming soon. I've just started listening and it sounds great. Lets hope there is more on the way, because Darkover is one of the very best series of it genre.
Marion Zimmer Bradley has created another reality with her great consideration to detail and her characters bring to life a complex and well developed culture on a planet where Telepaths are the ruling class, and the rest of humanity both interacts and clashes with Darkover in the different books.
Simply an amazing opportunity for those who like me love the books to have a different medium and for others to discover a new love.

The first book in C.J.Cherryh's eponymous series, Foreigner begins an epic tale of the survivors of a lost spacecraft who crash-land on a planet inhabited by a hostile, sentient alien race. From its beginnings as a human-alien story of first contact, the Foreigner series has become a true science fiction odyssey, following a civilization from the age of steam through early space flight to confrontations with other alien species in distant sectors of space. It is the masterwork of a truly remarkable author.

I've read this series and loved it, looking forward to each new book by this marvelous author. Now I'm incredibly happy to be able to listen to the narrator's excellent rendition of this Sci-Fi wonder.
Cherryh has created in this book a wonderful world with incredibly detailed characterizations that will take you on an incredible journey, and as the series progresses you can revisit this magnificent universe again and again.
Daniel May's narration is truly very good, and reflects the ambiance of the writing to perfection, in my opinion.
I've always enjoyed reading my favorites more than once (some every year in fact) and this new format has allowed me to rediscover them in a completely new way and to have them with me everywhere no matter what I'm doing.
I hope others can revisit this great series (as one is never enough) or discover it and delight in as I have and am!!
