Lead guitarist of the Dark Troubadours, Dayan was renowned for his mesmerizing performances. His melodies stilled crowds, beckoned, seduced. And always, he called to her to complete him. Corinne Wentworth stood at the vortex of a gathering storm. Pursued by the fanatics who'd murdered her husband, she was risking her life by keeping more than one secret. Fragile, delicate, vulnerable, she had an indomitable faith that made her fiery surrender to Dayan all the more powerful.

What did you like best about this story?

That it was a little different. The idea that the heroine was energy yet could become human was new. I liked that she helped others with her abilities.

Have you listened to any of David Quimby’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I think he did a great job on both audiobooks!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I usually finish a book the same day I start it. This is a shorter book so you can fit it in when you don't have a lot of time and not get left hanging.

No, I hadn't but I thought it was very well done. I would definitely buy other books done by Gethyn Edwards.

Any additional comments?

This book is the second in the series. I haven't read the first in the series yet but I plan to. I didn't have any problem listening to this book as a stand alone. It flowed very well and though some things in the previous book were referred to, I didn't feel confused. I hope there will be another one coming soon!
