I've enjoyed all of the books in this series, some more than others, and have listened to several of them multiple times. I was surprised that this book didn't focus on a new couple, but even still, it didn't lack for romance. Instead, we were treated to a peek into the current lives of some of our favorite couples, as they dealt with the continuing troubles facing the world after the fall of silence. If you've gotten caught up in this world, you will want to listen to Allegiance of Honor.

I tore thru the 15 hours in one weekend and even went back and listened to parts of the book again. This is definitely in my top three favorite books in this series, alongside Slave to Sensation and Kiss of Snow. Some have speculated this might be a series finale.....and I won't argue the possibility, but I'm still hopeful Nalini will give us Anthony and Nikiti's story.

Young librarian Samantha Watkins has always been perfectly content with her humdrum existence. Never easily fitting in with anyone anywhere, she feels most at ease in silence, among stacks of books. Sam believes in leaving fantasy and drama to the characters in her beloved novels. But one night when she leaves work late, she finds herself center stage in a tale of vengeance and terror.

Amy McFadden is an excellent narrator and the reviews I read convinced me to give this series a chance, despite the next book not yet available on audio. I was not disappointed. I could really relate to the MC and within the first few chapters I began to care what would happen to her and how her life would play out. I liked her interactions with Phoenix and overall enjoyed how their partnership unfolded. The ending was not easy to listen to - especially since the next book is not even translated into English yet (WILL SOMEONE PLEASE RECTIFY THIS!?!). But even with the cliffhanger ending, I would still recommend this to anyone who likes the supernatural world. Yes, there is a potential romance mixed in, but it isn't the main theme. Worth a credit? Absolutely!

Leila's years on the carnie circuit were certainly an education. What she didn't learn: how to be a vampire, or how to be married to the most famous vampire of them all. Adjusting to both has Leila teetering on a knife edge between passion and peril, and now the real danger is about to begin...

I have listened to and LOVED every book in the Night Huntress series and the Night Prince series is another home run for the author. She does such an amazing job capturing the extremes in Vlad's character, while making him completely real....and who doesn't love Layla!? She's both vulnerable and tough and definitely loves Vlad with all her heart.

The narrator does an EXCELLENT job with all of Jeanine's work. I have MORE than gotten my money's worth for EVERY one of her audio books, as I have listened to most of them more times than I can count.

I read the summary and thought "this sounds interesting - a girl that no one can touch". I also read the reviews, and while some were negative, many were almost glowing. In the end though, the writing style was way too emo and overly dramatic. Even for me. The author seemed to think she had to over describe every single little thing. The MC couldn't have a single thought without it being compared to some overly obscure, flowery reference. The story itself was interesting and the world building was impressive. I even became invested in the MC and her love interest; but ultimately the over-the-top writing style ruined what could have been a great book and I only finished it to find out what happened to the two MC's.

The narrator has a VERY unique voice and would not impress me for any other book I've listened to, but her voice definitely matched the MC, so I won't hold this one against her. I won't be listening to the rest of the series and could not recommend this one - even to a 15 year old.

I know it probably seemed like a good idea to have a man narrate this book since it was mostly from James' POV but I actually preferred Elizabeth Powers' voice even for the male charachters. Was also jarring that the narrator changed the pronounciation of Bianca's best friend's name from Stephan to Steven.

I can't say this was my favorite of the series but I enjoyed most of the book, especially the chance to hear how crazy in love James was from the very start. We had all probably figured that out by the end of book 1 but I still liked hearing how out of control he felt from the very first time he laid eyes on Bianca. He realized very early on just how much he wanted to be with her forever.

I also loved getting more of the story from Stepan's POV, including some of his history with Bianca, as well as the story of the first time he dated Javier. I don't normally enjoy male/male sex scenes but must admit that the writer did such a great job making me love Stephan so much that I was able to really get into the Stepan and Javier encounters. Would really like to have a whole book about Stephan! :-)

Overall, worth the credit.

When reserved flight attendant Bianca gets one look at billionaire hotel owner James Cavendish, she loses all of her hard-won composure. For a girl who can easily juggle a tray of champagne flutes at 35,000 feet in three inch heels, she finds herself shockingly weak-kneed from their first encounter. The normally unruffled Bianca can't seem to look away from his electrifying turquoise gaze. They hold a challenge, and a promise, that she finds impossible to resist, and she is a girl who is used to saying no and meaning it.

I expected the sexy but was pleasantly surprised at the depth of this book. I don't usually listen to straight "romance" books (more into urban fantasy and the supernatural) but don't mind graphic sex if it is weaved into the story properly, which I think the author accomplished quite well considering just how much sex was packed into the book. The charachters were believable as was the way the story unfolded - with just a few exceptions (no man in real life could have that kind of stamina).

I think my favorite character though was Stephan. I fell in love with him and would love for him to have his story told in a full book of his own.

I would definitely recommend the whole series!

I've listened to several of the Argeneau books and this one is by far the best yet! I liked that the female lead was not wimpy and not intimidated by the age and strong personality of the male lead. The narrator does a good job - much better than the narrators on previous books in this series. While this author includes humor in each, the narrator was able to really bring that humor to life and I honestly laughed out loud (especially in the initial scene with Julius) at Lucien's difficulties with the modern world. I liked that he was a bad-ass, but not in a rude way. Overall, a very good read....
