Genteel society ladies who compare notes on their husbands' suicides. A hilariously foul-mouthed black drag queen. A voodoo priestess who works her roots in the graveyard at midnight. A prominent antiques dealer who hangs a Nazi flag from his window to disrupt the shooting of a movie. And a redneck gigolo whose conquests describe him as a "walking streak of sex".

Listening to this guy read the parts of the black characters was so bad I had to stop listening. This is a story about the American south. This guy reads the parts of a black trans woman and a “voodoo” priestess in ways that are so cartoonish its impossible to listen to.

The women in this novel are all props for the various male fantasies, and the story is not good. Very shallow overall
