The story of what happened to Flashman, the caddish bully of Tom Brown's Schooldays, after he was expelled in drunken disgrace from Rugby school in the late 1830s. This is the first of George Macdonald Fraser's hilarious satires starring Harry Paget Flashman.

Dark dark satire
Not for the faint of heart with a protagonist that is unlovable. If you you are looking for a story of redemption you should just keep on looking. If you are looking for book that exposes the hypocrisy of 19 century British colonialism amid an incredibly historically accurate backdrop with a main character that swings wildly between hilarious and horrifying them read on.
David Case's narration is perfect.

Great Sci fi, she's of its time. Mavra Chang stands out as one of science fictions great characters. I liked the narrator. For the most part he did a first rate job. His attempts at accents were a bit painful at first, but i got used to it quickly.
