I was so into the story until King was with the other woman. There was too much abuse going on the whole story that I actually couldn’t like King.

Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance". I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want. Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way. I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does.

I’m excited to see the movie and that’s what turned me on to this book. The narration was pretty bad though. Whenever she tried the male voices — it was cringeworthy.

The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy - he's platinum. He has good friends, a great house on the lake, and the best damn sidekick a man could ask for: Snoopy, the albino beagle. Then...Callie Carpenter comes home.

Zachary is amazing and brought the story to life. He really brought the book to life and Andi is always great. The chemistry between the two characters is undeniable. They storyline was good and the details of the book made it easy to imagine. I’ll be reading more form this author.
