Ivy Nixon is the student body Vice President at Franklin High School. Each year, the school holds a date auction to raise funds for the senior class graduation party, and this year, Ivy's in charge. Planning the event is a huge task and Ivy is determined to prove she can get the job done right. Unfortunately, she's still one participant short and her deadline is looming. Andy Walker, her cute but socially reclusive art class table mate, is her last resort. He may not be popular, but he's funny, talented, and full of surprises.

Not her fault

Overall

This book was really good until the fight about her changing him. Then Andy accuses Ivy of not liking him without the makeover. Andy was the one who didn't want to look like a fool. It is not her fault that they didn't hang out till he asked for her help. What a jerk! Lilly laid a guilt trip on Ivy because of something from years ago. He asked for help! Don't put the blame on Ivy! He could have asked her out before the makeover if he was interested in her!

The characters are well defined. The story seems choppy in places.

Amanda is so inconsistent. She says I'll always listen and in the next sentence when the guy starts to talk she says not now. Later he tries again and she says there's nothing to talk about. This is repeated several times.
Character facts are not consistent from the previous book.

The narrator was good though.

Lisa Zimmerman brings this to life!
