This has been one of my favorites since I was a child, so I purchased the audio version when I purchased the Kindle so that I could retire my worn out paperback. The writing & the story are all as I remember them, the only the lacking is the narrator. I simply do not care for him although I will most certainly listen to this again and probably purchase the other books in the series. It sounds as though it took many, many takes for him to even get what we hear. Narration could be better, other than that 👍👍

There are only 2 things I disliked about this title. One was the weird musical interludes between sections, I could've done without that. Two is that it could've come with a "Kleenex" warning label. I like to listen while doing my chores & this I would not have chosen to start while doing laundry had I known I was going to be crying through most of it. Even though it is very powerful emotionally it is still a very entertaining & engaging story. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Even if you're not an animal lover or into "animal" stories it is most definitely worth your while.

This is my favorite book of all time. I was 15 when my grandfather tossed. It on my lap and said "you like to read try this". Mind you the huge hardcover book hurt & got my attention and it was BIG. I used to love sitting and burying myself in a good large book. Plus it has a strong female protagonist something my 15 year old insecure self needed. Ayla, in this novel, is someone a young girl can look up to. She is the right age & goes through similar struggles of being different. Not exactly the same as Ayla lives in such a different world but bullying is the same all over.

I was unprepared for how good a full radio style production of "Ender's Game" would be. I like old style radio shows & did enjoy the one Ender title that alternated between Ender & his sister. I've read the book as well & feel that the movie did not do it justice. This production did what the movie could not. It gave this story the life it needed. I usually do housework while listening to my books. I found myself frequently sitting down instead of working, so absorbed into this world I became. 7 1/2 hrs just flew by. Even if you are not a science fiction fan you should listen to this. It was that good.

I'm not the biggest Anne Rice or vampire fan, but this is an excellent performance & is what made me a Michael York fan. The story is a nice installment in Rice's Vampire series. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

JP is one of my favorite books, have discovered it shortly after it first came out in paperback. It has everything I enjoy. Dinosaurs, disaster, and thought. It was one of the first books that made me think about things & how the world works. Mind you I was 15 at the time & wasn't given over to thinking in general, but I fell in love with it (I do still have that dog eared beat up paperback somewhere). The film came out a few years later & it, of course, was awesome. Now, what feels like eons later, this audio book has simply made me feel like that silly teenager again. The performance by Mr. Brick was wonderful, keeping me engaged in the material & the story even though I know it by heart. I am very glad that it is an unabridged production, the abridged versions tend to lose something. I would recommend this to anyone interested in dinosaurs or science or disaster genres. Or perhaps if you liked the film, maybe pick this up and know what Jurassic Park was really like.
