Here is a timeless tale of waterside Britain that has been loved by generations of children and acclaimed as a classic. The story of Mole, Ratty, Badger, and Toad and their escapades, whether messing about on the river or poop-pooping in Toad's shiny new car, cannot fail to enchant.

I'm fairly sure the performer was capable of controlling the emotions needed throughout the story making the background music unnecessary, but, much of the time I was unable to hear the reader properly because of the distracting music. I would much rather listen to the story without the background noise. until then, I will not be listening to this story multiple times as I do with other books in my library.

At once grand in scope and intimate in human detail, Isle of Woman tells the story of a man and a woman born at the dawn of human history, separated by fate, yet united by an unquenchable passion that even time could not conquer: Blaze, the fire worker who raised his kind of savagery, and Ember, the beautiful green-eyed woman who forever haunted his dreams.

Reader inflections made it sound condescending. I love Piers Anthony books and this almost turned me away from getting anymore. Thank goodness the reader was changed in other books.
