To make an open marriage work, Franklin and Celeste knew they needed to make sure no one else ever came between them. That meant there had to be rules. No overnights, no falling in love, and either one of them could ask the other to end an outside relationship if it became too much to deal with. It worked for nearly two decades, and their relentless focus on their own relationship let them turn a blind eye to the emotional wreckage they were leaving behind them.

The beginning started out slow to me, I didn’t understand why there was so much story telling. But once you get half way through, things start to make since and the first part is very needed to understand how he got to where he did. Great book! It is finally nice to read something that echos so much of what I have experienced and believe.

Emperor Wray Vasteri was the ruler of the Tornian Empire. His house had ruled the empire ever since the great infection, which struck over 500 years ago, and he feared he would be the last. The number of compatible females was dwindling faster than anyone knew. If they could not find compatible females soon, their entire civilization would cease to exist. It was the reason he agreed to meet with Liron, the emperor in Kaliszian space.

This is a good series but this story probably should have been the first book, and also the time lines don't match up with the timeline in the first book. It is still a good story though.

This was an okay book. I like detail in books, but this one had WAY too much. Also, this was NOT erotica. Yes there are a couple of sex scenes in the book, but they were short and not steamy at all. The story was entertaining enough but I will not be listening to another of Kristen Ashley's books.

Those loyal to Richard hate him and those loyal to Henry Tudor fear him. He is, after all, The Dark One. I have a very open mind when it comes to books and for the most part will at least be able to get through an entire book even if it is bad. This book however, is the worst book that I have ever attempted to partake in. It is so slow that I found myself begging for something to happen but was only able to get through 4 hours before I had to give up. Do not waste any credits or money on this book!
