Used as a text in seminaries and classrooms, this is one book you can't put down. For over five decades, Ed and Loraine Warren have been considered America's foremost experts on demonology and exorcism. With over 3,000 investigations to their credit, they reveal what actually breaks the peace in haunted houses. Don't miss the Warrens in the new blockbuster movie The Conjuring.

Big fan of the Ed and Lorraine Warren movies, but from what I understand, a lot of this info has been disproven. I could be wrong, but other books/podcasts tell these stories quite differently. Still entertaining though.

George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

There are a lot of Latin phrases without translation, so it can be kind of confusing. Kinda makes you go the extra mile lol. Cool story overall. I just finished Swan Song, so maybe I need to lower my expectations. Wasn't as epic, but still an interesting story.

The year is 2033. The world has been reduced to rubble. Humanity is nearly extinct and the half-destroyed cities have become uninhabitable through radiation. Beyond their boundaries, they say, lie endless burned-out deserts and the remains of splintered forests. Survivors still remember the past greatness of humankind, but the last remains of civilisation have already become a distant memory. Man has handed over stewardship of the earth to new life-forms. A few score thousand survivors live on, not knowing whether they are the only ones left on Earth....

I actually hadn't heard of this until I played the video game. I know that's not the right way to do it, but the games version of the story is a lot more entertaining. The narrator was not my favorite. I actually didn't make it all the way through. Maybe I'll try it again on my next long car trip.

I really enjoyed this one. I hadn't heard of it until about 2 weeks ago after I finished Alas, Babylon and One Minute to Midnight (what got me interested in this genre to begin with). Its super long but definitely worth it.
