Célian Laurent. Manhattan royalty. Notorious playboy. Heir to a media empire...and my new boss. I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand. I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory - namely, his wallet. Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it. But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose. Brooklyn girl. Infamously quirky. Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.

There are many books out there with this type of plot.. a rich damaged handsome a’hole of a hero - a feisty burnt before heroine - a no strings one night stand - circumstances throw them together and voila!.. angst, drama, fun, steam and love follows. BUT.. and it’s a BIG but here.. they weren’t written by this oh so talented bestselling author whose creative gifts are boundlesss because she’s filled this storyline with so many enjoyable and entertaining feels. Such as.. the anticipation and build-up to the romance was priceless, the palpable chemistry was enticing and exciting and the quick-witted snappy fun dialogue was outstanding. Her creation of the flawed, layered, loveable characters you’d welcome as friends was a gift.. as were their delicious sexcapades which were thankfully well balanced within the story. The dual POV scenes were well described as two very different people.. who were absolutely not looking for love, finally realize that, despite all their walls and defences, love overcomes all.

Worth a credit? Yes it definitely would’ve been.. but, as it’s been included in the wonderful Romance Package deal, I snapped this baby up, sat back and loved every.. single.. second. The narration was great too.

For twenty-one days I missed the release of this audiobook.. twenty-one days of missed opportunities to catch-up with the wickedly twisted events centered around, and inflicted by, the Callahan Mafia family. A dynasty of strong colorful characters whose multi-layered lives and actions have been masterfully concealed and slowly been revealed in this spin-off series from the deliciously dark Ruthless People series. They’re caught up in (or create) situations that are always self-serving.. they’re possessive, passionate, loyal to the family and deadly to anyone who crosses them.. or anyone they don’t like.. or anyone not family.. or anyone family who abuse their trust or breaks their rules. Yet these hardened characters draw you in, they woo you with their dark endearing personalities, they shock and shake you with their violent acts and they knock your moral compass off kilter when you find yourself justifying their bloodthirsty ruthless actions. However they feel heartache, are sucker-punched by betrayal and, given the chance, they love deeply and forever.

Phenomenal writing skills are yet again shown here by a very talented author who skilfully describes multiple character’s POVs in a gripping storyline that had WTF twists and had me staying awake til silly o’clock in the morning mentally chanting “just one more chapter” over and over.. and over again until there weren’t any chapters left. The intricate and intense web that J.J. McAvoy weaves has no-stop riveting action, compelling drama, lots of feels and some clever reveals as she tempts and taunts you with endless possibilities. Wyatt didn’t know that love was right there under his roof - he was so wrapped up in Ethan’s heartache and subsequent meltdown as well as controlling the fallout.. but, when Helen drunkenly admits her feelings one night, her revelations heat up this cold-blooded Mafia’s feelings.

Worth a credit? OMG yes.. it delivered so much more than I anticipated (even if it was my least favorite book in the series). Joel Froomkin’s narration was on-point, on fire and on another level from a lot of other narrators.. he WAS each an every individual character.. he made them multi-dimensional.. he brought the tension, the mood and the feels.. and he made this story utterly gripping, unstoppable and created a 5 star-worthy audiobook.

This is a great start to a new biker series.. there’s a sweet romance between Logan, the alpha VP of the Kings MC, and soft, sweet, independent, loyal and oh so caring Bella who watches out for her 18 yr old younger sister as they fend off the advances of their mother’s latest bad mistake of a husband. Bella and Logan’s paths cross a few times before they start working at the same place and, in that time, an inescapable connection was formed.. but the already burned biker took his sweet time claiming his woman.. and Bella? well she was his from his very first smirk. But a Club whore causes angst, a rival gang’s bitter suspenseful feud causes drama, havoc and heartache, a surprising revelation from the Russian Mafia uncovers truths long buried.. and the life of one of the main characters flatlines.

Worth a credit? Yes absolutely.. it was told in dual POV’s with chemistry, passion, a nice blend of feels and a mixed bag of loveable secondary characters. It was entertaining, had sexy times but the action wasn’t drenched in lots of repetitive sex scenes and I loved.. loved.. loved Aiden Snow’s sexy smooth voice. Ahhhhhh now on to book 2.

Ava has written a heartbreaking story about loss, tragedy, a broken family, compassion and the healing power of love. It’s tragic, beautiful, raw, compelling and is packed full of emotional feels.

Jace is a grieving widower lost in his world of regret, heartache, pain and denial.. he’s getting through his days by ignoring his children, burying his emotions, drinking away his anguish and drowning his thoughts in work. He’s wealthy, successful and his high-powered Asset Management business his father started is a good escape to numb his pain.. and, for a year, it worked.. but he’s a shell of a man, he’s bitter, tortured, anti-social and an absentee father, sibling, son and friend. Then it’s his brother’s wedding but numbing his heartache with drink isn’t working anymore.. because the happy couple’s touches, kisses and loving looks reminds him of what he once had.. memories haunt him.. and the regrets torment him.. then came Sydney. She offered a shoulder to cry on, a ear to listen to his grief, a loving heart to give all and she would also offer him a lifeline, a chance to change and an opportunity for absolution.. but would this broken man see it, grasp it, cherish it, nurture it and love it?. No, never, absolutely not, well maybe but, perhaps only if, no strings, no labels, no expectations and definitely no promises of any type of a future together ever!!

Now listen to this heartbreakingly beautiful dual POV story as solid lines become blurred, impenetrable walls begin to crumble, feelings fill fractures in a broken heart and love is the catalyst for forgiveness, for redemption, for healing and for a family to rise from the ashes reformed, meshed together by love and made whole again. Because Sydney’s compulsion to fix what’s broken comes from her good soul, her compassion is limitless, her patience is endless, her forgiveness is real and her capacity to love is beautiful.. but she’s going to need every one of these virtues to breathe life back into a broken man.

Worth a credit? Yes.. Ava Harrison, Grace Grant and Sebastian York.. their talents are endless and combined they made this a solid five star listen.

I can’t save myself from the cloister, and maybe I never could. The prophet grows more dangerous by the day. His delusions are steeped in blood, and if I’m not careful, that blood will be my own. Despite the growing risk, I still continue the search for the truth, no matter if the thorny path eventually twists back to Adam, guilt in his dark eyes. I’ve seen glimpses of his soul, and I know there is more to him than the monster, but it’s so hard to reach him. I knew when I came here I’d have to fight, I just didn’t realize the war would be waged on so many fronts.

Wow.. wow.. wow.. and once more I say wow.. this, and book 3, was tense edge-of-your-seat storytelling as the nail-biting very dark suspenseful dramatic scenes didn’t ease up until the very end.. think The Handmaid’s Tale but much much muuuuuuch darker.. and even more depraved and twisted. Because Delilah’s quest to find her sister’s murderer, her brainwashing, her sexual training in submission and her verbal and physical abuse continues at The Ministries. The religious cult is spearheaded by a charlatan Prophet whose greed and psychotic beliefs has him imposing his own perverted version of God’s word.. while also worshiping and giving human sacrifices to the Father of Flames to further greatness for his corrupt evil empire.

However, despite the many harrowing ordeals Delilah and Adam suffer through, their undying love for each other continues to be unbreakable, all consuming and beautiful. But, there were times in this epic rollercoaster ride, when I doubted a happy ending.. then I prayed on everything holy that Celia Aaron WOULD give this couple deliverance from evil, WOULD slay all the sycophants and bad guys and that their liberation from Hell WOULD be the happy ending I was so rooting for.. and WOW did she deliver.

Worth a credit? This whole trilogy was epic, unique and multi-layered storytelling at its best. The suspenseful journey was dark, intense and depraved. The passion-filled highs were mere stolen moments of happy.. and the lows were filled with spine-chilling scenes of badness. The dual and sometimes triple POV chapters were faultless as each narrator perfectly portrayed their character’s ride in Hell which was chilling, emotionally gripping and filled with bloody potholes. Nevertheless it’s a big fat bursting at the seams YES from me as to creditworthy.. each and every book is absolutely unforgettable.

Firstly, if you don’t feel the lure and pull of a dark romance then stop right now because this book DEFINITELY won’t be for you.. as this listen is all kinds of twisted.. all kinds of dark.. all kinds of depraved.. and, all kinds of f’d up. But, if you too seek the heart-beating rush, the pulse-pounding tension and the emotional thrill-ride of not knowing what harrowing scenes will be next to shock and shake you.. then my fellow listeners read on. Because this has ALL those feels and so so much more as Delilah witnesses firsthand, along with the other naive virgins in her group, exactly what being a Maiden in the Cloisters cult is all about. At its head is a wickedly sinful Prophet with richeous self-serving false preachings along with the many levels of his mean and varied band of disciples. It’s Hell, it’s torture, it’s brainwashing, it’s a violent reprogramming, it’s a stripping of dignity and it’s mental and physical abuse at the highest level as their ‘Protectors’ listen and obey the word of the psychotic and very dangerous Prophet.

There’s abuse, starvation, brainwashing, sexual training, bdsm and sub-Dom attitudes, cruelty, rules and absolutely no remorse as these once innocent women are slowly being bent and broken into submission. However, in Delilah’s case, her dark Protector is Adam the Prophet’s handsome son who has already suffered and been damaged.. yet he won’t take what’s not offered.. instead he teases.. and tempts.. and dirty talks.. and alpha’s his possessive ways into Delilah’s psyche. The chemistry and pull is there.. but so are the cameras, guards, rules, expectations and enemies round every corner.

Worth a credit? This dual POV complex, harrowing and gripping story is brilliantly written as the heroine, who’s been renamed Delilah, starts her quest to seek the truth as to what led to her beloved sister’s death.. but she could never have imagined what horrors would follow.. or the heartbreaking story awaiting her discovery. And, I think far worse will be in her future.. dark days lie ahead for Delilah.. and more unholy acts will be demanded and performed in the name of a false religion. Thankfully, all three suspenseful and thrilling parts to this twisted dark trilogy are available now.. so try stopping me from purchasing the next slice of this brilliantly narrated rollercoaster ride into the world of a sick cult, it’s sick practices, its sick leaders and its sick followers.. bring it on I can’t wait.

Along this couple’s addictive ‘fake’, yet very real, romance there’s lots of sizzles as their chemistry ignites and there’s lots of conversations that start and end with barbed banter. Zane doesn’t believe in love and there’s an invisible wall with vigilant security surrounding his heart.. but, over time, that wall slowly topples.. and the invisible light of true love shines brightly on a once dead heart. Their animosity towards each other only fuels their desires in this Cat and mouse - push ‘n pull - enemies to lovers dual POV romance that was expertly narrated.

She lives in reality, she deals with facts, and she’s goal-oriented. So when she paid a visit to Jordan Wells asking for a game, calling it, “The Boyfriend Experience”, he thought he knew what she was getting at. Wining, dining, maybe a date to a wedding to appease her meddling mother. Lawton Gabriel took this game as a favor to his friend. It only took him five minutes to regret it. Oaklee Ryan is insane.

I love JA Huss.. and I especially love all of her uniquely different Jordan’s games.. and this time Jordan’s put his good friend Lawton (aka Law) in touch with Oaklee as matched players.. and it’s a deluxe experience indeed. Successful Real Estate mogul Law needs a certain type of fake girlfriend to secure a reality show he’s vying for and Brewery owner Oaklee needs a fake boyfriend for very different reasons than Law naively thinks. Both of them are mega successful.. both are extremely rich.. and both will soon realize there’s nothing fake about their feelings.. but someone is behind the scenes plotting.. and planning.. and is poised ready to strike. And what follows is a slow-drip of nasty moves as the lies build.. resulting in heightened tensions, suspicions and brief heartache before all the clues can be sifted through and put together to reveal the truth.

There’s suspense, humor, sex, fireworks and third-party angst as easy-going Law slowly figures out what makes feisty, quirky, hard-to-handle Oaklee tick.. what she really needs him for and why someone else’s brews are winning all the best beer awards that Oaklee’s brews used to win. And Law’s road of self-discovery and enlightenment is indirectly thanks to Oaklee’s many demands... errr suggestions.

Worth a credit? Yes it’s a crazy town ride of chaos and challenges. This entertaining fairly light listen is mainly told from Oaklee and Law’s POVs.. but there are a couple of chapters from the mysterious Jordan’s PoV too.. and I can’t wait for his MFM ménage story which is coming next. Narration was great too.. especially Joe Arden and Teddy Hamilton’s swoon-worthy voices.

Wow.. this woman writes pretty awesome second-chance love stories.. and first-chance love stories.. and absolutely no way in Hell love stories.. and, well you get the drift.. they’re all wonderful. Her characters have been damaged, her storylines have layers, the crackling chemistry is always palpable and her plots hold secrets and heartaches. ALJ kicks off her new series with an emotional doozy.. and she doesn’t disappoint because Jace the handsome damaged hero and Faith the grieving heroine were once each other’s everything, once shared so many first and once declared their undying love for each other. Until a betrayal blew their tentative young love apart.. and it’s ten long eventful years before these two soul-mates will be able to find their way back to each other.

Their rollercoaster ride had a wonderful mix of angst, drama, heartache, mystery, suspense, danger, sex, deep longing and rekindled desires.. and their highs and lows lead to revelations, remorse, redemption and a breathtaking reunion of soul-mates. Jace is a tormented tortured hero who feels unworthy and has only ever loved one woman - Faith.. and Faith had to make the best of her shattered heart and dreams after Jace, who’d been the love of her life, walked away from her at eighteen. But now he’s back to save Faith from a danger he feels responsible for.. a danger he’d die to protect her from.. and danger that will end in bloodshed and tears. Told from dual POV’s and, apart from the loyal and loving main characters, there’s also a very sweet three year old to add to the colorful mix as well as poignant historical chapters which were told in third person overview telling of a young love doomed and going hopelessly heartbreakingly wrong through no fault of their own.

Worth a credit? Yes absolutely - it’s an achingly beautiful touching second-chance love story interwoven with so many feels.. and, for me, there’s never any doubt when it comes to this very talented author’s bitter-sweet exceptional love stories. Great narration brought it all to life.. made it a powerful audiobook.. and made it an unforgettable listen.
