if you dont know, this book and Alien: Out of The Shadows, are full production stories. Complete with music, sound effects, and wonderful voice actors.

It's like listening to a movie! Out of the Shadows was a bit better, but both are must buys. You will not regret it!

As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Due to the unique production of this book, it is a modern take on the old radio shows. its amazing. It's like watching a film with your eyes closed.

The whole cast is amazing, but it has to be said, Laurel Lefkow does such an amazing job as Ripley. She sounds so close to Sigourney Weaver, its almost haunting.

The story is a nice "what if" telling off possible events between the Alien, and Aliens films. I felt that the author also helped expand the universe of Alien. There are certain moments that made me draw comparisons from Prometheus, Alien, Aliens, and even some of the Alien vs Predator sagas.

I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially a fan of the franchise
