Ren didn't know the meaning of love until he took Della for his own. To begin with, he hated her, but as the months bled into years, he learned the opposite of hate, dedicating his life to giving her everything. Every sacrifice, every gift, he gave wholeheartedly. But then love turned to lust and ruined everything.

I don’t even know how to start a review of a book this dynamic. I’ve never read a book of fiction that made me flat out cry.

The writing is superb. The story compelling. The narration perfection. I wouldn’t want to read a tear jerker like this very often. But I won’t soon forget this one. That’s for sure.

This was the best ending to a longish series that I've ever read/listened to. It tied up all the little ends while maintaining the mysterious shades of evil possibilities that ran throughout the books. The writing was great. And the narrators were among the best in the business.

The best part: I laughed until my guts hurt. The "guy stuff" was spot on and the antics were hysterical. Thanks for this.

This is my second time through this timeless series. And I'm enjoying it just as much as I did the first time. I could talk about the amazing character development and plot and action and sizzle between Roarke and Eve - and many other things that make a novel exciting enough to read more than once.

Then there's the undeniable talent of Susan Ericksen, who epitomizes narration with her stunning "visualization" of Nora's seductive characters.

But I'll just stop by suggesting you don't miss the opportunity to enjoy this exciting and creative journey with Eve and Roarke and the gang.

Now this is what a period piece is supposed to look like. The narration is divine - love the Scottish brogue. And Mr Campbell easily switches to Old English. The tale is exciting with plenty of twists and turns that keeps us guessing. The characters are strong, easily identifiable, and cause the reader to love the good ones while cheer when the villains get their dues. I haven't been excited to listen to or read every book in a series for a long time. Until now. Thank you Julie Johnstone.

While I really enjoyed this series and became invested in the characters, this last book had some problems for me. The climax was just too unbelievable. The crazy sister and the ridiculous cover-up by the controlling mom. As a medical professional I know that cascade of events involving the hospital could never happen. I understand this was fiction. But there has to be a glimmer of possibility. And I didn't like the end where a family bought the home agreeing to keep the baby's shrine in tact. They should have taken it with them. The narration was good, a bit over dramatic at times.

I'd have given this series a far better review before the last half of this book.

This damn book made me cry - like twice. Maybe three times. That only happens when characters are so believable that the reader (or listener) can see them. Empathize with their struggles. Yearn to see them succeed. This author did that. And these great narrators helped bring the whole thing alive. Thank you all for this lovely book.

I totally fell in love with these characters. The writing was superb - could have used a little more 'show' and a little less 'tell' at the, um, climax of some the love scenes. But those were still hot, the story intriguing, the characters believable. Aiden Snow is a master with contrasting male and female voices, leaving no doubt in the listeners' minds which character is speaking. I enjoyed every moment of this book and can't wait to start the next in this series - which will happen in T minus sixty seconds. Thank you Ms Castille.

Ford Aston is not too picky about what he wants out of Christmas. He's not into this holiday - like at all. He doesn't do presents or family dinners or parties or church. He does pets. And he's got one lined up for Christmas Eve. In fact it's the highlight of his day. And if he can get through drop-in visits, nosy 12-year-olds, an inappropriate conversation with his best friend's girlfriend, dinner with a family that's not his, and a party at his mother's house - well, he might just get home in time to enjoy himself with a stranger and make it all okay.
