Scott Brick was a terrific narrator, again. Weaving Pitt into the story was creative. I'm an Isaac Bell fan and definitely enjoyed the tale.

The Oregon files is a great series. Thank goodness Cussler made significant changes to the entire concept. This book is nowhere near as good as the rest of the series. You could skip it and never miss it.

Loved it. What's not to love? Great characters. Wild plot. Good dialog. And, super narration. I really liked the supporting characters and look forward to finding them in this series novels again.

Justine Eyre's narration provides an overtone and undertone to every character that makes them sound dark and somewhat vicious. Inevitably, her style undercuts my enjoyment of whatever she has recorded.

I found the novel to be as well constructed as other Amanda Quick / Jane Ann Krentz books. The
characters would have been more interesting with a different narrator.

Pros:
Creative story
Fast moving
Really terrific narrators
Interesting characters, well developed too

Cons:
The story is set 1 month into the FBI partnership between the 2 flagship characters and 3 months after the marriage the of 2 characters who have appeared in prior novels. BUT, the dialog referred to events that took place 10 months into that marriage as set out in a prior novel. That drive me nuts, but it didn't ruin anything.

I'm a fan of The Oregon Files. I enjoy the characters and their over-the-top actions. And, Scott Brick, the narrator, is outstanding. His narration is better than great. He is a huge part of what makes these novels fun to listen to.
