It was definitely in sync with The Cruel Prince. It was actually quite nice to hear Taryn's side of the story and why. Your typical sibling differences and rivalries. The audio version was amazing!

I felt like some parts were just too long and drawn out. Strong start to Celaena's new adventure. She learns more about herself and her powers. She makes new friends and we learn about some new characters like some vital witches. I wonder what will happen with Rowan, Maeve, and Manon in the next books to come. Dorian tries to harness his powers and Chaol is not as courageous as he once was. There is just so much sad death in these books (tear).

The narrator was pretty good. I will have to read the book, I tend to zone out when listening to audio.
